Dont you think that there are a lot of Arsenal fans out there who cringe seeing our manager in his three quater length quilt coat spurting out the same excuses when we lose ?
The AKB brigade 9 (Arsene knows best) are a dwindling band and as much as i love what he done in his first 7 years i along with thousands of others are totally pissed of with it.But unlike the chavs from west london we dont hound out managers we have more class than that. this does not mean we are prepared to put up with the crap we have been seeing.

Walcott staying has to be good. Sagna on the way out though and if you dont get top 4 this season, how stable is Wenger given thats the thing he's clung to for the past 8 years?

Herd,
It would be a very welcome change to actually read some more moderate stuff about City from a Gooner, even a bit of humour would be pleasant. Over the last few seasons, most of the shite emanating from North London about us has been venemous lies and angry bile. Mix that with a liberal serving of arrogance and you will find most City fans have lost any respect for the Gooners.

If Wenger isn't at fault for any of your recent problems Mate...then City have certainly taken the blame for just about everything. I have even had one particular Gooner screaming abuse at me in my cab the moment he learned i was a city fan. along the lines of "I fuckin hate you blue bastards, your are killing football by buying success and destroying everything good that Arsenal have put in place." There was more.

I hope that you personally are treated with respect on here but you may find a backlash from some very angry city fans at the public stance your club has taken in it's openly vile criticism of City.

I fucking hate Arsenals attitude ,fucking over fans is the worse crime that exists and they do it year on and year out, robbing fucking bastards harping on about playing pretty football as they rob youth players from all over the world and then bragging about being self sufficient yet still ROBBING FANS to watch them play (and still getting nowhere) - hipocrisy at its worst.
Wenger only just comes in second to that drunken tramp across the road, as far as class is concerned.

Sorry Herd , you sound a decent geezer , but your clubs attitude to us is fucking disgusting and as far as Im concerned they can go fuck themselves.

Its only since they moved that they have started really stinging fans on tickets. At Highbury they were the cheapest London club in the top division by quite along way. I remember one season them charging us £19 after being stung £28 (Spurs), £27 (West Ham), £28 (Charlton) and £24 at Wimbledon ... sad to see really, mind nobody likes getting knocked off their pearch especially by a couple of lottery winners, still ... Stiff Shit

I agree with you Lee, I really am amazed by how many fans on here want Balotelli to start on Sunday! Have people forgetten his behaviour last week, his performances this season, his lack of work-rate, his general attitude and that he is a possibility of getting sent off?! Surely he has to earn his place in the starting line-up and Dzeko deserves a run in the side as he scores goals, performs when he has his opportunities from the bench, doesn't cause problems for the manager etc.

A fit and firing Balotelli of halfway through last season and I may be inclined to change my mind but what he has produced this season, it seems a no brainer for him to be not selected from the start for this match.

So I'm not alone at least.

Ted, I didn't see Watford, so can't say much there, but even in the highlights in screaming pass before the young lad scored. Made a great run and Balo ignored him.

Perhaps, but Balotelli played passes, one twos with Tevez, took men on, & encoragingly SHOT, when he came on. Dzeko did absolutely fuck all and casually flicked the ball to their defenders more times than Balotelli ever has. If Mario had turned in the same performance, it would have been carnage on here.

I dont know am I missing something, but what is so much important about that Watford game, I mean... At least I would expect out of that match that we would give the players break, as long as we win.

The other thing, Dzeko has been pretty much consistant during this season, goals count confims that, and yet, it takes so little for him to lose his place in the team according to some people here. Just dont get it.. Aguero was dreadfull for I dont know how many matches in a row, and after one good game (vs Stoke) he is out of the doghouse, all forgotten. Yet, Dzeko loses his place in a blink of an eye. OK, Aguero overall brings in more confidence, he has better skills.

But Balotelli? Ill say it again... Am I missing something here? Start Balotelli (1 goal + unpredictable attitude, or bad attitude) over Dzeko??? (9 goals, needs just a little service to score, great attitude) ...

Come on... I expected greater determination regarding Balotelli out of average City fan. I actually think he's a great guy out of the pitch, but as a City player, for me, he is just accident waiting to happen.
The most important thing for a forward is speed of thought. Top players read the game.

Stolen from BM...fantastic post.

Just wanted to say this to any lurking Arsenal fans whom may still be caught in the headlights of a self consuming hatred eating away regarding our oil money.

I started watching City in 1972 when we truly had some great players and football was a world away from what it is today. Somewhere between 1978 -1982 we lost our way and the rot set in and since then I and thousands of others have had to suffer, watch and support some incredibly poor footballers. Most of us have travelled the length and breadth of this country spending thousands for nothing more in return than a faint glimmer of hope that one day it would change. Other clubs were financed and had great luck with the timing of the Premier League and the cartel of the Champions League and the gap grew ever wider.

To all you Arsenal fans who are now outraged with our newly found wealth please understand this - This is the only one way other clubs can compete nowadays and your cosy 'big 4' got too cosy to notice that by keeping it all to themselves that one day somebody somewhere more powerful or more richer would eventually say 'f**k this we're having some of it'. So whilst you enjoyed your time in the sun, we floundered and just about kept afloat largely due to thousands of us turning up week in week out. Yes we was here when we were shit. Whilst you have never ever had to witness years upon years of some of the worst footballers you could ever imagine wearing your beloved clubs shirt. You have never ever had to watch your closest historical neighbours win everything in sight for 20 years non stop. Doubles/trebles, buying star after star footballers, having to endure 20 plus years of piss taking from the world's biggest set of C**tiest supporters. Having to listen to every pundit from China to Chinley spout on about how great they are. You have never had to grow up and listen to every footballer tell us 'it's their dream to play for United'. To have the Munich disaster held as some self righteous reason why everybody should hold a candle for that club. You have never had to hang onto a dream that one day just one day you could have some success instead of watching your club yoyo from division to division, to watch your club change managers so often it became almost a monthly event. You have never had to watch your club lose at home to their historical friendly lower league clubs like Bury and Stockport.

Our name has been dragged through the mud, kicked in the balls, laughed at from all corners yet one thing has remained constant through it all.

Us the fans...

So please forgive me and try not to take this too personally but I couldn't give a flying f**k as to what Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham, United, Gillingham, Stockport, Bury and any other football club on the planet thinks about how we got the money or how we go about spending the money. Right now I couldn't give an Owl's hoot as to bringing through some unknown kid from some unknown club from some unknown village on the planet, nurturing him and watching him grow with us. I'll tell you why that is, because for years we've done that and clubs like your's used to come and take them off us when all the hard work had been done. You would lord it over us like some self righteous lord of the manor who was coming to take what was rightly their own.

So forgive me this one little pleasure as I will go on for the next 10 years loving it if we spend spend and spend some more to bring any silverware and I mean any silverware to my beautiful long deserved club and our supporters.

Seven years without a trophy...comeback when your near the 35yr mark and i'll start to have some sympathy

Well found Carl...but I think the author of that piece was still holding something back.
I was trying to be respectful to Herd, but in my heart, there was a ton of shit I wanted to unload about his arrogant club.

If you bother to check the history, they even got into the league by corrupt means...and at Spurs expense.
