Man Of The Match v Arsenal

Postby Beefymcfc » Sun Jan 13, 2013 4:46 pm

Thought I'd start it early with the option of changing. Saves me doing it later and I've had a few Stella with Brandy chasers ;-)

James Milner (again)...by a distance. It's taken him a long time to seem to find his feet and form in City colours but what a bloody player he looks (again) this season.

Fantastic once again

For me, only two options today: Zaba or Milner

Garcia looked better than previously but not better than those 2.

Milner for me, really don't see how Niall Quinn picked Edin as man of the match but I guess we all see the game differently.

Agreed. Milner then Batty then Zaba. Happy with Edin overall but a few too many sloppy moments to be considered for MotM

Milner - by a long shot. He was absolutely immense today.

He's always been a key player for me, and showed it for the first 4/5 months of last season before Mancini started playing Nasri instead. But this season he's taken it up to another level. He should one of the first names on the team sheet.

I thought Garcia had his best game for us today - he got stuck in, passed the ball around nicely and showed his aerial ability. Hopefully this is a sign of things to come.

Milner all day long.

Quinn is bitter and clueless and slagged us off from the penalty onwards. Dzeko MOTM? LOL i thought he was the poorest player on the pitch to be honest and stands out.

Barry, Zaba and Clichy all great as usual.

Garcia played well.

No way was Dzeko MOTM, but I'm wondering whether Quinn was watching his performance more closely (does he have access to different camera angles than what those watching on TV see?) than those of other players, due to the position he plays?

That is clear , he had awful second half , but he had big impact on game it self so only that i can see hes base of giving it to him , but i would not focus on negative we fuck them in the back :)

Zabba again showing why he is the current best right back in the country and Garcia had super games but I went for Jimmy. Up and down all day and scored a wonder goal. Maybe we are finally seeing the player we all knew he was.

I'm sticking with Edin and then Milner. One made the game happen, the other made the game what it was.
