Milner edges it over nasty for me. Runs his socks off and doesnt give up. Nasty another great gane under his belt. This young lad will be one if not the best defender in the prem given time and a good run in the starting eleven.

He also left his foot 'in' a couple of times which was good to see as we don't really do that sort of thing.

Plenty of quality performances, Clichy worked hard, as did Barry, Silva was always showing, Garcia looked like a player worth the money we spent on him and his hard work to keep the ball in was as important as Zabaleta's challenge & Milner's cross, Zabaleta was strong again, but Milner was immense - quality goal, cracking cross, loads of confidence & effort - demonstrated how we can have width without the need for a natural winger

Lescott deserves a mention for his goal mouth clearance at a critical point in the game (sorry Carl!! )

Good point about Garcia. When we don't notice them is when they've played well.

Souness after the game praised Barry and Garcia for putting their stamp on the game early on.Spot on too as we did start well and were looking like the home side from the beginning. He really is looking better though and getting more used to the pace of the game.

Having battlers like Barry & Milner next to him, as opposed to Nasri & Yaya, will make it a lot easier for him to be effective.

Milner for me, but there were so many others close behind. The Milner/Barry pairing in midfield is stellar.

What is really great is watching how this team has matured. They dominate long periods of games, play majestic football and have the depth to effortlessly cover absences. This the real deal!

Its the three midfielders for me, Milner, Barry & Garcia. I thought Komps had a good game as well despite the sending off.

Difficult again this week as there were several excellent performances and many very good ones. I've gone for Milner but honourable mentions to Zabaleta, Dzeko, Silva, Garcia, Barry and Clichy. More of the same, please, gentlemen.
Your right leg I like; I've got nothing against your right leg. The trouble is neither have you.

Once again our midfield performs, and once again we get a result - only one person for MotM, take a bow Jim. Long may all of their performances continue.
So this is how it feels to be City,
This is what it means to stand tall,
This is how it feels when our club has no debt at all.

Jimmy Jaw Milner for me. I think Dzeko looked very clumsy.

Same as per the Dzeko hat trick, given our historical issue with coolness in front of goal, a thunder stoke like that from Jimmy commands the award in itself, even without considering his allround performance. there goes my vote.

Still, no news on the imperious performance by Gaz, either defensive and building face. People who compare Gareth Barry with Modric know about football even less than Fuey does about the merit of sausages... :-)

Also given the historical significance of yesterday game, as well as the entertaining show offered on the 1st half, should someone want to keep record, here is linky for the torrent:

SKY UK coverage, including pre and post match bollox

1. "unintelligible language"
2. "ACID QUEEN"
3. "never once fails to turn a football thread into a himseelf thread"
4. "thumbs stalker often resulting in repetitive thumb strain"
5. ignore the cunt. he's on permantent wum mission. only TIDs may know City

You'd need to make a very good psychiatrist in order to guess what next in a eight yrs long line of hatred...

In Roger Ailes/Donnie Drumpf's words: "don't know it for a fact, but many people say so..."
there must be some truth, then!
