Should we appeal the red card?

As Mase said in the match thread, there is no 'rule' about two legs, only that it's a way in which the rule about the player being 'in control' of the tackle is standardly interpreted...

So who invented that shite , fans, because it s not first time i hear abaut two legs challenge from commentators even

It's an (un)official guideline, not a rule. One that people (and most of the media) seem to believe is an actual rule...

If we are thinking about the same event, I think, Javi among others, they signaled the back line to come out and set the defense higher up the pitch, apparently there was a lot of space between dms and defense.

Mike made a mistake, it wasnt a red card, wasnt even a foul ffs.

Appeal. It wouldnt be a silly appeal and with just cause. It will get turned over due to angle ref saw it from.

I think the card will stand. Not because the tackle was wreckless, but because when the panel review it, their thinking will be that if both feet are off the floor you are not in control.
He clearly got the ball and it was dangerous as his feet were low, but like I have already said, the view they will take will be that his body lunged forward and both feet came off the floor.
Don't appeal. Miss QPR, FA cup game v stoke and Southampton. All winnable, even without captain marvellous.

Red card or not, VK makes a lot of these challenges. I think its his technique, but even when theres no malice/he wins the ball, he manages to make it look like hes diving in. Same against the rags last year and a few moments already this season. No idea why his other foot needed to come off the floor at the same time as the tackling foot.

Probably going to get shot down here but, whilst i think the ref was probably evening things up a bit, it was a daft challenge.

I agree. No need for that kind of risky challenge 20 yards off goal. Even if we weren't 2 up & 11 v 10 in the 75th min, but in those circumstances it's a shockingly daft challenge.

All the panel will do is look at the rear angle of the tackle where both feet are off the floor, yeah he won the ball but that angle clearly shows two feet off the ground. I fear he want win an appeal. IMO Vinny should no better from what happend last season, he is always going to run a fine line in this modern age of football making that type of tackle. I think he won the ball but you just can't tackle anymore so always running the risk of a red with that type of robust tacking.

I don't accept that he launched and his trailing leg was hardly off the ground and certainly not threatening in the tackle BUT at the time it happened I just said he's off! I feel we won't get an extra game added but won't win an appeal.

What's with everybody calling it "two-footed" ... when he got the ball (ahead of the arsenal guy) he got it cleanly with just 1 foot, and got the ball ... the two feet came off because of the crash with the other player as the other player went over and fell on to him so AFTER that his both feet came off the ground.

Yes, challenge the card ... and challenge quickly so decision is done before Fulham game. The fourth game isn't Southampton (as mentioned above somewhere), it's Liverpool. And Fulham at home might be the easiest of the three otherwise whoever is taking QPR away and Stoke away (FA Cup game) lightly, do so at your own peril.
