Funniest thing I have seen in football in a very long time.

I swear David Pearce will be writing a book about this Chelsea team in twenty years time.

Chelsea manager Rafael Benitez on the Eden Hazard red card: "They both recognise there was a mistake. The boy was apologising for time wasting. Hazard was frustrated and tried to get the ball. He was kicking the ball and getting the ball. We can analyse if for half an hour but we know that both are wrong."

Personally found the whole thing hilarious. Hazard's clearly a cunt, but then again, so is the little shit of a ball boy.

If i was playing football somewhere, and i was 20/21 and some 14 year old shit took the ball and wouldn't give it me back then i wouldn't feel bad about giving the little shit a little dig if he deserved it. Life innit.

It is funny I've been chuckling since it happened but it is also bery wrong.
I'd be Fuming if that had happened against City.

The ball boy has 'little shite' written all over him. His job is to give the bloody ball back. Youtube generation, broken Britain, call it what you want. He totally deserved to be kicked, though I think Hazard kicked the ball, but with his toe, so as to reach it deftly and propel it through to a place where he could pick it up. Thus it looks even worse.

I can totally understand the actions of both. But if you kick out at people in a football game, particuarly if it's a bloody ballboy, you're off and deservedly so.

If it was a City ballboy, I can't imagine many slagging if off.

Just heard he was Tweeting that he was gonna waste time, prior to the game. Hmmmm....

watch whole the incident again.

can you imagine a ball boy blatantly slowing the game down 20 years ago? no respect these days and that's why britain is breaking.

hazard was an idiot doing what he did but the young lad's reaction was a joke...

Completely agree - if he was my kid id belt him round the ear as well.

PC BRITAIN and PC familys...sign of the times Im afraid.

Come off it, as if he got slapped. He was playing up, having ALREADY SAID HE WAS GONNA TAKE THE PISS ON TWITTER, and when 'the king of ballboys' as he apparantly calls himself got his chance to shine, a frustrated Hazard stepped beyond the realms of decency it terms of 'you can't kick out at a ball under a ballboy', and that's that. Surely a little human context needs applying here.

Nothing about it was to do with political correctness, but I agree that the kid was a twat.

You couldn't script it ... apparently the ball boy's dad is Martin Morgan who owns Morgans Hotel.

Where are Chelsea staying tonight? Superb!
