firstly the kid is 17 isn't he?. If my boy was 17 and tried a stunt like that in a game, I'd say fair do's chuckle at the thought of it and tell him he probably got what he deserved.

17! for fucks sake ... He knew exactly what he was doing and was not some rosey cheeked cherub out to do no one any harm through his own childish pranks. He fucking told the world he was the king of time-wasters and that he'd be doing it at the game. Players on the pitch will get yellows for time wasting.

As I see it ... everyone got what they deserved and I got a laugh. Move on.

I think Hanging Hazard is perfectly reasonable.

The ballboy is a cheating little wussy fucking shithouse, but still, you can't kick the little cunt like that, even if you are kicking the ball. We all know it doesn't really hurt etc but neither did Beckham's little kick out in the World Cup. Still a red card.

I would have accidentally tripped over him and given him a Basil Fawlty style slap round the earhole as I landed,, then apologised profusely.

I think this so-called "child" (actually 17 yr old adult) should be suspended from duty for a few matches. He isn't involved in the match and is affecting the match just like a pitch invader. Hazard shouldve gotten red carded but not banned for any subsequent games. I think the kid is totally at fault but, yes, Hazard shouldn't have kicked him.

I think way too big of a deal is being made of this.

Slag on.

I would 100% have kicked him if I was Hazard

I would also have expected to walk for it

I don't think he kicked him at all.

I think it's fucking hilarious though. All we're missing is the big top and a trapeze act.

It annoys the hell out of me that the little scrote will gain notoriety and probably gain financially as a result of his poor behaviour.

Some of you muppets actually think this is a new thing ball boys wasting time.

I remember when we were in Division 2 playing Wigan in the second leg of the play-off semi. The ball went out behind the Wigan goal a few times toward the end of the match. From where I was sat in the Kippax I could see City fans leaning over the front shouting at the ball boys to either hold on to the ball as long as possible or pass them the ball for them to mess about with it for a while. The Wigan keeper went over and instead of booting the kid to get the ball back he just turned around and made the ref aware.

When Fabian the Clown was in goal for the rags at what I think was the last derby at Maine Road City fans fucked about with the ball for ages instead of giving it him back. I think they had to get a new ball from the 4th official. Would Bartez have been okay jumping in to the crowd for a scrap?

It's funny how some of you will bash Vinnie for a perfectly good, if not brilliant tackle, and say "he should have known better". Yet you're the same people saying Hazard was right to do what he did??!!!

it would be interesting to me to see who both bashed Vinnie and said hazard was right. But i'm far too lazy to do such a thing.

I did not bash vinnie, and I think that I would have kicked the (17 year old) ball boy as well, but not been surprised to get a red card for my effort. I think it's all been blown up a bit too much though.

For once I'm gonna side with the stocky conservatives on here. The ballboy was a annoying little scrote and deserves all he got and will get. What Hazard did was very fucking stupid (he should have thought about how it would look on camera), but I don't think it was malicious and I don't think he meant to kick the kid, but rather the ball.

Lad deserved what he got and it wasnt a boot or anything that would have done lasting damage. He smoothered the ball to hold up play Hazard gave a toe poke in his side so that the kids reaction was to let the ball go free. He didnt pull his leg back to put a harmful boot in. However a professional footballer should not have done it and deserved to walk but the lad should have played fair.

Is it not something most of us have done at some point in life? I know I have in the playground many many blue moons ago. A mate goes on top of the ball to keep it you put a toe poke in where you know it will make him drop the ball and you get your ball back.

Press will make a meal of it. Found it quite comical myself.

Had my lad done this on national tv in front of thousands I would be initially embarrassed but then used it to take piss out if my lad for a long time.

I think they were both acting like cunts but Hazard more so than that stupid kid. Watching it on telly I was horrified because it looked like the kid was something like 13. Later learned that he is something like 17. Still Hazard is the real cunt here.

P.s. I never said I stopped READING posts you cuuuuuuunnnnnttttt.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

Carl's clip from the different angle is conclusive, just watch the ball pop out at speed, like it has been KICKED.

I am a bit confused in who I think is right or wrong in this, the only thing that it confirms for me is the belief I have that modern players are called mercenary's which IMO they are not.The passion Hazzard showed in this incident for me highlights that.
Know I would not like it if somebody did that to my kid but they are both still relativley young.
