listen up. our owner made billions out of the stupidity of Barclays Bank idiot executives, do you think he worries about the marginal profit or loss on the sale of Mario? seriously, get real , our owner does not worry about this in the way the Everton owner might. Furthermore , Mario was always getting city free press, good or bad .Just imagine if we had to pay those scheissters, for all the press we've received !

what's any of that got to do with football?

Could have done with him to come on tonight and have a shot from distance to break through a stubborn defence...

I don't think so.
I'd be even more surprised, than the already surprising way and time Balotelli has been let go, if the decision had not been agreed among all the managerial parties.
that's why I think Mancini should and will share an entire third of blame, if we shall end up the season by scoring not more than 15 goals in both competitions.
Otherwise, If I am wrong, we will see a different manager next season.

I didn't say the manager didn't agree to get rid of him, I said he is sad to see him go.

"Mario was like one of my children": Mancini admits he's sad to see back of Balotelli
29 Jan 2013 23:06

City boss also hints he could work with striker again in the future

Roberto Mancnin last night admitted he was "sad" to see Mario Balotelli quit Manchester City for AC Milan in a £22million deal.

The 22-year-old striker has signed a four-and-a-half year deal to move to the Italian giants.

Mancini, who saw his side held to a shock point at QPR, said: "We are also so sad because Mario was an important player for us.

"For me, Mario was like another one of my children. Mario is this. You can be upset with him sometimes, but afterwards he's a lovely lad.

"I invest a lot of time with all players. With Mario, maybe more.

"But I think that Mario is in the history of the club because we won three trophies in two and a half years. He also scored an important goal in big matches like Manchester United away. He did very well."

Mancini revealed there were emotional scenes as Balotelli left the team hotel for Italy once the two clubs had agreed a fee of £19million rising to £22million.

"All the players (will miss him). When he left the hotel, they were really sad. Mario is a good guy. He lived with us for three years."

Mancini also admitted sharing a final heart to heart with the player he hopes to work with again.

He said: "We talked. It's private. It was emotional, but it's normal. When I say that I love Mario, and all his team-mates love him, it's true.

"Work with him again? Why not. I hope so."

Asked whose decision it was to finally sell the troubled frontman, Mancini said: "We talked. The club asked me what's best for me. I spoke with Mario and I think he wanted this. After three years in England, to go back to Italy will be good for him."

Remaining City strikers Carlos Tevez and Edin Dzeko drew a blank on Tuesday night as the Blues failed to break down Harry Redknapp's rock bottom Rangers.

Manchester United now have the chance to extend their lead at the top of the Premier League on Wednesday night to seven points.

Mancini said: "We are disappointed for this result. We had our chances to win, and we dominated the game. But QPR defended very well and got players behind the ball. We lost two points, for sure."

Speaking to a blue mate tonight, who was claiming (dunno if he's a 'source close the club' or owt haha) that all the players have been increasingly pissed off with Mario for a while, and that's the main power shift behind him being got rid of. He was arguing that you never see him out with City players, just his mates/fam(yo), not one for the team ethic, and cited Joe Hart against the Arse last year as an example; apparently Joey was lipread shouting 'THAT'S YOUR FUCKING BOY' when he got sent off, i.e. to Bob. Soz for old news if it's old news to you. Reliable or not, it made me think about maybe being less disgruntled about it.

I dunno, for me it just turned out Mario at City with Mancini at this time just ended up being a perfect storm of interrelated complications. If they are to be uncomplicated, it int with us right now. It's a less than exuberant ciao from me, and clearly a coping strategy post, cos I'm genuinely a bit peeved at the absolute mad pile of bastard being sold.

I can only agree with You, Bud.

I said plenty of times, before and after the purchase that it would have, was and has been the most daft bet of Mancini,
If Bob was at another kind of Club, with a less wise Chairman, it could have costed his dream to climb to the top with a non established Club.
I see and have come to terms with his opinion of the immense potential which he could have felt as an irresistible challenge to his coaching ability, but it was just a wrong choice, particularly at the time, when he Bob was far from proven and established.

What I do argue, and I make it strongly, are two "details" of the shipping out:
a) the time: what if one of the remaining strikers gets a long injury. What if Tevez starts again to state on the pitch that he wants out to Boca and for free?
b) the price: rotten apple or not, Balotelli is one of the most regarded young talents in the whole football world, provides free advertising (good or bad, it doesn't matter in the present broken world we live) and sales merchandise. to think that the richest Club in the world was compelled to jump onto the sole, damnit few money coming now or never it's ludicrous behiond intelligence. Fucking Andy Carroll was sold for twice the price, ffs. nuff said.

as a result, even myself who finds FFP nothing more than comedy gold, I am quite concerned at the idea that next summer City shall probably have to find two top strikers and financing it with dirty £16 millions pissed out Berluskoni's scumbag.
Unless we won't decide to rely our next season bids on the absolute unproven potential of Guidetti, to cover Dzeko and Aguero in 4 competition. As per Tevez, which is however becoming more and more a playmaker than a striker, who knows what his attitude will be in the last season before getting a free agent?

I can understand all the footballing and non-footballing reasons for doing the deal but, like Mancini, I'm very sad to see him go. I loved the crazy bastard. Not been so sorry to see a player go since SWP to Chelsea.

Good luck Mario, I hope you prove lots of people on here and elsewhere wrong.

For what it's worth I think that with this and last night we have kissed goodbye to the title also. Stupid timing unless we have a replacement lined up.

My thoughts exactly regarding Mario, although I still believe we will retain the title. I think there must be a replacement lined up, I can simply not believe a club in our position would take such an unnecessary gamble and Bob wasn't complaining about the squad size when talking about the sale of Mario.....there must be someone coming in, if not this is the worst bit of business ever.

You miserable cunt, haha

I can't believe anyone at the club would be thinking solely in financial terms over this deal, aside from anything else if we don't sign a top notch replacement Mancini is virtually unsackable as no manager can be expected to defend his title with a weaker squad

I'm hoping that by the time I get off the plane tonight and fire up Abu Dhabi sports for the first time, we will have a monster replacement beaming at me in gods own blue shirt
