He's going to thrive there I know it. I really believe he was held back here like most of our strikers because he didn't get consistent starts. If he's starting every game for them he'll score 20-30 goals a year

Lol, he had fucking plenty of opportunities. At the end of the day he is a lazy bastard and never seemed bothered about playing for city.

I know he's had his opportunities here. But there something to say for someone's confidence when you know your starting every game. So much of his faults are mental that I think it bodes well for him. He is a lazy son of a bitch though your right but I think now he's at his childhood club he's going to work his ass off for them. We will see though. Mario has his own way with everything he does.

Mario Balotelli admits that leaving City was an emotional wrench but has vowed never to forget his time with the Blues.

After signing for Milan the Italian striker spoke candidly about his last day as a Premier League player, his relationship with Roberto Mancini and his love for "the best fans in England".

“For sure I will remember my brilliant team-mates, the manager and all the supporters. They are the best, they were great with me and I will always have a very special place in my heart for City, it’s a great club with a great future,” he declared. “I thank them for all of their support of me. Maybe one day we will see each other again.

"I think to win the Premier League was a very special moment, and I am proud to have been a part of that.

"And the 6-1 win at Old Trafford was
also a big moment in my life. I know
what that meant to the supporters, the
joy it gave them. To have scored in
that game and been part of that
history will always live with me.”
...Mario Balotelli...

Balotelli said goodbye to his teammates at the pre-match dinner in the hotel ahead of the 0-0 draw at QPR and admitted it had been a poignant moment.

“Yes, I said goodbye to everyone at the meal in London before the game at Queens Park Rangers. It was a very emotional for me,” he said

“I spoke with Roberto before I went to speak to the players. We spoke for some time about lots of things. He was sad, and I was too. But it was a good conversation. I love Roberto, he has been very important for my career, and I will always thank him for having trust and faith in me.

“Being at City was an important part of my life and career. I needed to grow up like a player and as a person and it has been a very good experience for me.

As Balotelli touched down to join Nigel de Jong at the San Siro, he paid tribute to the City supporters for making him feel so welcome at the Etihad Stadium.

“I will remember, too, the song that City fans had for me. It was special for me and I always liked to hear it. I hope they can still sing it sometimes still, even if I’m not there. Someone told me the fans sang it at QPR; that is nice.
"I love the fans at Manchester City;
they are the best in England, maybe
the world.”

...Mario Balotelli...

“I will always be interested in Manchester City and their fortunes. I really hope that City can win the league again this year and beat United. I think there are great players at the Club and a great manager too. The club will be very successful in the future and that makes me happy.”

Roberto Mancini admitted that the 22-year old will be missed and wished him all the best in this new chapter of his career.

“With Mario we won the FA Cup, we won the Premier League and the Community Shield," Mancini said.

"I thank Mario for all his contribution to
this team, I think he’s an important
player for the history of this club."
...Roberto Mancini...

“We are very sorry for him because he leaves the club but we hope Mario can continue to improve and continues to work hard because he is a top, top player.”

Its funny that people refer to him as lazy when he is constantly moving making runs while on the pitch, treat yourself to watching the QPR game that won us the title again, and watch Mario when he comes on.
In several of the games he came on as sub and changed the way things were going, just because he didn`t score or give the final pass means little, who opened up the gaps for other players by drawing the defenders is what you should be looking at.

Everyone has their own opinions on him, mine were he gave me a hell of a lot of pleasure by being at ours, both on and off the pitch he made things happen because he was what he was, he was also as mad as a box of frogs but even thats forgivable when you think of that big stupid grin followed by a wink at camel gob.............bet you just smiled at the memory ;0)

My favourite Mario memory was the penalty he scored against Spurs last season in the final minutes.

A 22 year old stepping up to take a penalty to keep City in the title race. And for not one second did you doubt him.

Who else could score with a tap in but make it iconic by just a look while using his shoulder.
Penalty's became a memorable occasion.
His interview after the title winning game, "Its better this way because it made united suffer".

He scored great goals and set up some great goals, he was a flawed genius that put the fear of god into teams, a super star who shagged models not grannies while wearing Armani rather than matalan.

So remember what he gave us, the smiles he put on City supporters faces as an important part of the team that brought us three trophies after many years of nothing, he goes to his boyhood team with my best wishes............Thanks Mario.

are you sure?

Well I certainly recall him setting up the final goal of last season's campaign!!!

I still think he was intending to play in Big Dave rather than Serg.

still cannot believe that City let him go. When Tevez leaves in 2014, Aguero possibly, also Dzeko. He is the real striker on the team. Tevez and Aguero are more of pass first strikers. As you saw in the QPR game the first half and most of second without Dzeko in. When Mario comes into games he finds the ball. Mario is going to thrive in Milan, you dont understand this player, he thrives when hes the focus of a team and the lone striker. Watch what he does for Milan. Hell probably lead them past Barca in the Champions League. Style of football in Italy is much different and suits him far better. City will regret selling him BIG TIME. When hes a 30 goal a season man for Milan and City are still struggling with the much inconsistent Carlos Tevez youll be sorry. Tevez getting paid so much and still dosent get the job done. Aguero is inconsistent as well. He cant figure out a defence like Mario can. Bunch of fuckin retards running this football club and as Mancini said he is so mad to see him go.

he wont be helping milan past barca as he cant feature for them in the champions league. i do agree a little with your assesment on tevez an aguero being pass first strikers, balo was very selfish and fitted the mould of striker perfect. Dzeko for me would suit playing in a diffrent style of play but shows how "good" he is scoreing and doing reasonably well in the style we play. The owners will access the situation next season depending on the outcome of this season which ever happens i can see us spending money again.

People say Mancini is the only manager that can handle him, its not true. Mancini cant handle him. Watch the interview with Noel Gallagher again and u will see the real Mario. Mancini is done at the Etihad this season, regardless of if he wins the double( Fa cup. league title). Tikxi and Soriano dont alllow any personality to be bigger than the club. Thats part of the reason why Mario left. Im afraid Mario is going to leave. Also because of the fact that Mancini is a pussy, and dosent have guts to thrive in the Champions League. He will be out in the summer. Jose Mourinho will be the new manager next August. New City team for next year.

Aguero inconsistant ? Tevez doesnt get the job done ? Tevez carried us for a dozen games at the start of this season , Aguero was world class last season he also just got back to peak form before christmas then got injured again plus his wife fucked off. Tevez isnt getting any younger and this season is a long one for him , his workrate is still fantastic but the goals have dried up . I agree entirely Mario is far better as a lone striker , i also cant believe we havent replaced him ....... what sort of club sells a striker mid season when they are chasing the league title and a major cup and doesnt replace him ? its fuckin unreal !!!!!

Edit , if Mourinho becomes manager at city there will be plenty turning there back on this club believe me , i dont want this cunt anywhere near Miles Platting ever !
