Paris, LA, Madrid, Milan, err, Manchester. The boy has had a decent life. I question his taste in women but apart from that wish him good luck. Lot of green-eyed monsters around here.

No he isn't.

He can't do anything. He's thick as fucking shit. He already milks every penny he can out of advertising and uses football to keep him in the public eye.

In a few years he can become a tv evangelist but until then, he can make more money using football.

Thick as shit yet in the same sentence shows great business sense. Which is it?

Good on him, he's done very well for himself and had a fantastic career. Could've stopped playing years ago but he obviously enjoys it so why shouldn't he keep going for as long as possible?

If he was ex-United I think there would be a little less hatred and red mist.

Donating his salary to charity is classy. People expecting him to then give up endorsements as well are being pricks.

That said he's a typical mune so I still hate him.

Donating his salary is a great gesture, and hopefully the money goes to some good causes.

But if he wanted to make such a gesture, why didn't he just do it without telling everyone? Why did he announce it at a press conference he knew the whole world was watching?

It helps maintain the image/myth/aura around him and the whole world has eaten it up as usual. Smart move by the 'Brand Beckham' management team.

Also he was unattached, there was no rush to sign for PSG last night since it didn't have to be completed by the 31st, why did he choose transfer deadline day to hold a press conference to tell the world what was happening? Obviously purely coincidence and nothing to do with self promotion since he's such a nice chap.
(And no one suggested he give up his endorsements, so maybe the ones jumping to those conclusions are the pricks?)

Assuming he's on what 100k a week?

If he's giving that kind of money to a charity and would like a few less ppl to think he's a prick for doing so then good luck to him I say.

Well considering he is donating his entire 5-month's salary to charity, Im glad he's doing it for the money

So true.

The deal with PSG was arranged ages ago, yet by announcing it on deadline day it guarantees maximum exposure.

I couldn't care less that Beckham played for United. I just dislike the whole media circus around him. It first bugged me during his England days when he was constantly regarded as some sort of messiah who would lead the country to glory. But he never did. His management team have created a myth that he's one of the world's best players and so many people have fallen for it hook, line and sinker.

I'm personally not arsed that he's a rag. I'm not ashamed to admit I quite like Roy Keane as a player. I think with that muppet Beckham it's more that he comes out with shit about City when it's nothing to do with him. And when he played in the match at the theatre of wet dreams a couple of years ago when at the end of the match he took a Norwich scarf from a fan and paraded around like the big man just to get all the headlines.

He's a prize prick as a human and a footballer.

Sister of fu wrote:World class does get banned around far too much and IMO Becks was never that. He has been a good honest, extremely good looking football player and milked that for every penny. There have been far better players in world football who wouldn't have earned 10% of what he has because they don't look like he does. Peter Beardsley must have been gutted!

Or stick the ball in the top corner last kick of the game to get England to a world cup ! He was a rag but a model pro, My son met him at a football clinic at the swamp, every other player had gone after 5/10 mins he was still there 2 hours later, soaked through like all the kids and parents top man and used to watch all the youth games at the swamp, football mad he is. I have No problems with him for me 100% to England which in itself is unique. The best English export ever. Yeah he has made a shed load but so would have Gazza if he was not such a tool. Beardsley abroad, where is the brown sauce mate. Top player tbf.

Balotelli fills a few petrol tanks at the petrol station and he's a saint. Beckham does this and he's a prick?

I have no problem with him as he hasn't been playing for the rag cunts for ages. He supports them which is bad but can't knock him for giving up his salary cos he doesn't have to.
