Also he was unattached, there was no rush to sign for PSG last night since it didn't have to be completed by the 31st, why did he choose transfer deadline day to hold a press conference to tell the world what was happening? Obviously purely coincidence and nothing to do with self promotion since he's such a nice chap.
(And no one suggested he give up his endorsements, so maybe the ones jumping to those conclusions are the pricks?)

Thought it was a hospital in Paris? People were giving him shit for not giving it to GOSH. He is a media whore, but at the end of the day, loads of money is going to a hospital (if that's what it is).

Donating his salary to charity is classy. People expecting him to then give up endorsements as well are being pricks.

That said he's a typical mune so I still hate him.

Donating his salary is a great gesture, and hopefully the money goes to some good causes.

But if he wanted to make such a gesture, why didn't he just do it without telling everyone? Why did he announce it at a press conference he knew the whole world was watching?

It helps maintain the image/myth/aura around him and the whole world has eaten it up as usual. Smart move by the 'Brand Beckham' management team.

When Craig Bellamy was playing for City, all the good work he was doing in Africa wasn't trumpeted from the rooftops. It only leaked out, a little later, almost by chance which is at a complete variance with the self glorification methods that Beckscum and the useless stick insect he has in tow, always use.

In Beckscum's case, abject mediocrity, both as a player and a person, has been elevated to a veritable art form - which, I suppose, is a type of nauseating skill in itself, albeit his only one.
