I think Gibbs got injured and it was either spend or life with Andre Santos in the starting eleven. They had to spend.

They brought it forward for that very reason.

Just seems a lot for them being so usually prudent with the purse strings.

We however, have basically won the league last year with a bunch of players whose quality was such that we edged over a record points tallying Scum even with their agenda bending media ref twisting bollox, and then weakened our squad. We then watch the Filth strengthen theirs with a player we coveted, and given an opportunity to add to our overall capabilities, we sell Balotelli and thusly weaken our quality and potential even more.

I wasn't too arsed when Bob said nowt was gonna happen.

One of the most boring transfer windows ever. Loved the way even Sky tried and failed to make it sound exciting. That poor bloke outside Everton trying to muster something good to say about the kid from Barnsley sums it all up really!

Looks like we missed out on this kid:

Dinamo Zagreb's vice-president Zdravko Mamic claims Manchester City were outbid by Inter Milan after Mateo Kovacic joined the Italian club earlier this week.

Kovacic has been compared to his compatriot and Real Madridmidfielder Luka Modric and he had been linked with several of Europe's top clubs.

Mamic says Premier League champions City had previously tabled an €11million (£9.5m) offer, with Dinamo not actively looking to sell Kovacic.

However, Inter came in with several offers and an eventual bid of €13m (£11.2m) saw the teenager complete his transfer to the Serie A club before the transfer window closed.

"On Wednesday, Inter called me four times," Mamic told Jutarnji List. "But I told them not to come and that we will not talk to them.

"They knew about City's offer, which was €11m. But they were very persistent.

"I told them not to come to Zagreb, but they did, and they showed up at Maksimir Stadium at 18.00 on Wednesday.

"(Inter sporting director Marco) Branca and (Inter president Massimo) Moratti showed up at our offices and, at the end of the day, we sold them Kovacic for €13m."
I'm not really a City fan. I'm just here for attention.

WTF has Mario got to do with anything?
and why should Tricky be offered a break when you offered none to Marwood.
Shouldn't you be already putting the knotted rope round his neck?
Maybe you only do selective lynchings.

Sorry for being so much complicated, convoluted If You prefer, my still much enraged. beloved Pal.
I know You know what a metaphor is: Mario is a metaphor. He has been assaulted since day one, since the day before landing I better say. To succeed he should have been as smart, stubborn and goal oriented as Mancini (reference is made to that surreal first presser, as a defining "evidence"). Instead he is just a quite disturbed lad, resulting from the massive abuse and hard times he suffered during his childhood, and the immense talent that Mother Nature gifted him is totally concentrated on his feet and body only.
The whole of me: mind, soul, cultural background and professional practise, tell that I am the exact opposite of a lynch mob passionate.
It's not myself, nor Ant, Doomie or any other talking cunt from a football forum who have assessed and draw a thick line of boundary between the opposite professional skills of Marwood and Berguistein: it is the market.
I can only recall You to the same evidence I recently offered to another myopic maniac of "evidences": please drop me a line when Marwood will be offered a similar position, even at a comparably lesser Club.
Or do You perhaps think that dr. Khaldoon Al Mubarak is such a daft to adjust his assessments and take his decisions based on what a couple of cunts like Ant, Doomie and me talk on a football forum?

But, please Pal, If I humbly may, I just want to recall You what a smart, wise man once told me: don't take some internet banter too seriously and personally, it does not deem any actual offence... :-)

Based on the available evidence, I was merely seeking clarification regarding your lack of judgmental consistency....:-)

Still not sure what all that crap about Mario has to do with the issue though.

Lack of consistency does not equate to entrust some credit to a proven senior professional.
When Txiki will have miserably failed to achieve anything of note in three consecutive summer windows I may revise my judgement, although based on the "available evidence" he will still be commanding some credit, when compared with an absolute beginner.

Time for mediocrity has past at this Great Club, and the understanding of it does not equate to be arrogant rags... ;-)

There were a team of people involved in bringing players to City & the bit Marwood was involved in was when they came over to sign.

Those people were removed, along with Marwood's boss Cook BEFORE THE TRANSFER WINDOW.

I've posted the details of how the whole operation used to work on here, with a clear and concise explaination from the bloke who used to be in charge (he even mentioned how Patrick Vieira turning up at a scouting mission helped lose Hazard when Abramovic saw him on tv & texted them as they sat at the game). The guy explained how they went into every detail possible when scouting a player, brought him over, showed him round, had experts in every fucking thing a person could want, down to the smallest detail etc etc. They were the ones who did all that shit.

These people were allowed to leave prior to the transfer window . WHY ? Because the bosses had no fucking intention of spending huge fortunes on players; they already knew Soriano, Tricky etc were coming in. We had all read about Soriano coming in months before he arrived. As if he had no influence previous to that when we had a caretaker CEO. These same people have just dumped Mario & not replaced him. How many more clues do you need ffs ?

A few angry words from Mancini is all it takes to create months of ill informed bollocks.

If Marwood was here now, Bob would be nailling his hat on about not replacing Mario or bringing in a cb; he clearly said we needed to buy, not sell, but not a fucking peep against Txiki because now he knows who the boss is.

Marwood has overseen the biggest & best thing about this club; the re-creation & the creation of the academy. It will be the best thing about this club. He can be proud of it.

Hazard, RVP etc are a fart in the ocean compared to that & it will still be here long after Mancini (or Marwood) have gone.

Mancio,
I do hope that your response to Ted on this is a little more respectful and less patronising than your responses to me were.

Given your track record when presented with FACTS in the past on other issues, you have either ignored the information given and simply changed the subject, put your fingers in your ears and sang lalalalalalalala, or you have offered ridiclue and sneyd comments to belittle the subject matter.

I do hope you can do better with Ted....Please try.

I will be patiently awaiting for the "evidence" that the market will be certainly offering the all of us.
There will certainly be a huge crowd, out there, fighting to hire the priceless services of such a remarkable rain man.

Now I rather need focusing on how to cope with the disappointing occurrence that. the much probable second half slaughtering of my Italy on the Six Nations opener, shall coincide with the City game kick off.

Mancio,
Did you really think that nobody would notice that you doctored my post in your reply?...and you think I need help?
Actually, my mood is fine and I am currently quite relaxed having a brew and chilling out. How fuclin crazy is that?

Ted offered you a well worded and well constructed post on a particular issue. Did you thank him for his information/ Did you address any of the points he raised?....Did you fuck....You posted some rubbish than complained about the rugby...and I am crazy?

I point out that you are ducking the issue, that you are being demeaning and disrespectful...(which you were)...and you think I need therapy

...and you wonder why I am sat here laughing as I post this...My mentality and mood are fine. But thanks for asking.

Now then....Will you address Ted's post in a manner that makes sense, or will you continue to ignore it?
