Chelsea had 64 points after 25 games in 2005.

Which pretty much goes to show how crap the PL is becoming. This Utd team are nowhere near as good as the Chelsea 2005 team, yet they are only 2 points behind after 25 games.

Assuming we beat Liverpool, we would be on 55 points after 25 games, most seasons that would pretty much be top. Somehow a really poor (with the exception of RVP) Utd team has managed to acquire so many points. We might be look looking at what we are doing wrong, but they only got 3 of those from us and they were lucky that day.

i'm with you on this, being the only city fan in Zūrich that didn't get back for that final push last season, i never gave up hope , being the only city fan in a pub full of reds . It was great sticking the V for victory sign up to them !

I'm not sure if it's the PL becoming crap or United getting the rub of the green. Look at a few of their games, especially against the top 6 or so:

Everton (A) - Lost 1-0 (nobody sent off)
Dippers (A) - Won 2-1 (Shelvey sent off early on, they still got battered but got a penalty near the end to take the points)
Spurs (H) - Lost 3-2 (nobody sent off)
Chelsea (A) - Won 3-2 (only after 2 Chelsea players sent off)
Arsenal (H) - Won 2-1 (Strolling it but once Arsenal seemed to find a gear, Wilshire sent off)
City (A) - Won 3-2 (stinking scrorpy bastards)

I watch many of their games (like many) and for some reason they get decisions go for them or are sometimes just shit lucky. The amount of times you could call a yellow for United and them get away with it is unreal yet when it's the oppo who make a foul, it's an instant yellow.

And this is why I mentioned early on in the season that the cards are already marked. Whether it be by hook or by crook, Taggart will have his 20th title. Van Pussies squad number (and the Glazers) banks on it.

Apoligises seen it on Bluemoan but after a shite transfer window(Nastasic looks top class and Garcia is improving but Maicon's our new Crocky as is Rodwell and Sinclair was never gonna be good enough for us in a month of Sunday's.) and the rags bought Van Rapist and Kagawa who was Dortmund's best player last season. I expected the rags to win the league.

Indeed, and Rodwell is 21 years old.

How about we actually watch him play for a while before writing him off ?

When RVP is 33 and still on big money, City will have someone aged about 25, scoring the goals he is scoring now & on similar wages.

Kagawa's far from shite. He raped Bayern 3 times last year.Luckily for us he might not fit into United's get the ball wide, smash it in to the box, hope one of the strikers or own goal scores.

If they're still 7 points clear after the two games against Real, they will win it. But that is a huge distraction for them and will probably mean they have to rest some players around it. That is when they could drop points and we need to capitalise.

If we'd beat QPR, the gap would have been 2 points. That puts huge pressure on them against Southampton and Fulham. Instead, we mess up, they can be more relaxed and hence get 6 points they didn't deserve. We need to win today and go on a long winning run. Get the pressure back on them that they can't slip up. It's out of our hands but the minimum we can do is make them earn it.

I STILL think Hangeland should have kicked the fucl out of RVP's knee when the lights went out at Fulham.

If we are going to catch Utd; shall we start then ?

As far as I read it, we were 5 points behind, played Q P fucking R & are now 10 points behind with a chance of making it 7.

I could be wrong but how does that equate to 'catching up' ?

If we're going to catch these cunts we need to start doing it NOW. We needed to be doing it last week.

We can't cruise along dropping occasional points & going 'oh well they will fuck up' NO THEY WON'T !

Wake up ffs. If they are going to fuck up. it will be because we keep winning & keep pressure on. If they can afford to lose 3 games & still win the League they will not worry or panic about losing one or two if we get beat or draw against teams at the bottom of the fucking table , they will cruise it.

OPR was a difficult game but it was the moment where champions stand up. We were anything but champions.

If we are going to win this fucking league we need to start playing like champions every week starting today.

If we win today and go on to win the league, will it be better than last year? 10 points is all that I'm hearing, it'd really fuck 'em up if it went Pete Tong now.

That's the frustrating thing about it. They are ready to fall apart completely, anyone can see it in the way their defence is playing, but every time we get close enough to cause panic, we fuck up & give them breathing space.

The strikers have been our issue and with Tevez in a bit of a decline, I am expecting 2 big transfers in the Summer. I think we'll probably sell him to Boca for a modest amount, say £5 million, and save his wages along with Marios's for Falcao and Cavani. I would not be surprised if Dzeko went too.

Mate, we've just got 13 points from the last 5 fixtures which in itself should've put pressure on. They equalled that and still went on to win against Fulham. They are handling the pressure well at the moment but their games are far from convincing. If only the oppo could put the ball in the back of the net the league could look completely different.
