Saturday's B*l**x (updated)

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Weird about Gallibollocks thanking the City director and ephasising saying its taken a long time and was a huge operation. Could almost start a conspiracy that its a sole reason for him taking the job to transfer Mario. Its just the way he talks about it.

I'm sure there's parts of the uk he'll appreciate more with time.....like the first time someone calls him a black c**t or tells him to fuck off back to Africa at a match or in the streets of his beloved Italy.

Makes me laugh when foreigners say "ah I loved England but the weather was terrible" I always ask them on which commercial, film or tv show they have EVER seen the uk weather portrayed as anything other than shit. If you go to the uk expecting balmy sunshine I say...you are a dumb cunt

Manchester isnt an amazing city (it is true... those who've ever left the north will at least be fair). The weather is shit (as we all know) and the food in england (with the exception of parts of London) is generally "meh".

Having an italian restaurant isnt really the same thing as living in a country where good food is part of the life/culture.

I love being mancunin but having perspective, it doesnt suprise me in the slightest that the south amercans and europeans of this world arent overly enamored with Britain.

What ingredients can he not access in Manchester? He can cook just the same in either city. If he doesn't cook he can hire the same person with what he's paid.

I fail to see why he can't eat well in Manchester.

Also I love eating there, great city to eat in with loads of variety all nearby.

There are some good restaurants in Manchester

But I agree with a few others that there aren't loads....certainly not the same proportion as you would find in similar sized Italian cities. You can eat well but not with as much variety as you can in Italy...or France.

This! Tools of upper class oppression. Honestly I do not trust men that use umbrellas. Women can use them all day long but I defy you to show me a man's man who likes umbrellas. Hateful tools. for pussies. Just get wet. Or run.

Why does he have to eat in Manchester ?

Should he be training on a Tuesday with a gut full of quail's eggs & squid ?

At weekend he can go wherever he likes, he doesn't have to eat in Manchester.

There are 22 different cultures of food in Manchester.
23 cultures if you count the crap in the bottom of my fridge as a culture.

A simple thing like water can change the taste of food when it is prepared. Over here the quality of water can very by city, state, region of the country. I am sure it's the same over there. I have a friend that is a chef out in California now. For one of his dishes he has his water shipped in from Minnesota becaue the water in California changed the taste of his food.

Again, Mario can ship in water if he wants. Italy isn't that far away, he could have had anything he wanted.

i know great food, and i love it. I also eat crap food, and love it.

I'm an equal opportunity fatass and your perspective on the typical American palate is about as realistic as us thinking you all love the queen. Or know how to pull the hot girl in accounts with your sexy "british" accents.

Also, Americans and their love of cheese doesn't stand a chance against the german infatuation, i'd perhaps even say obsession, with putting molten cheese on ANYTHING. Does this really matter? No.

I wish I could tell you how I did it but I can't. I thought for all the world that Mario was going to have a go himself but he just moved it on one more and it fell at my feet and I just thought: 'Hit the target, hit it as hard as you can and hit the target.' And it went in."
