In typical Liverpool fashion, they game-raise against the Champions, but died a death at Old Trafford 2 or 3 weeks ago.

But, tarry a little. They put up a valiant second half performance at the Swamp. Something they can all be proud of. They even scored a goal! Well done, Liverpool. We're all oh so proud of you.

Hey, a negative looking team failed to create much in 90 minutes. What a surprise. Understand now?

I changed my post literally 2 minutes after I posted it. Whether you responded while I was doing it or not it doesn't alter anything.

People paid money today to watch City. People who've been paying that money for a long time so were there when Sturridge tried to hold us to ransom for £60k a week.
So if they want to boo a player that doesn't play for us they can do. Whether that makes them classless or not.

Yeah but I don't care how much they paid, football isn't about consumerism and I still don't like it. I'm expressing my dislike of their dislike, so to speak.

By the way, this is not a post against booing per se. Just this instance.

ok it must've been a misunderstanding them with your original post. Sorry about that.

Mate, you're a City fan so I respect your opinion. Ours differ which is why we're on here.

By the way the original post wasn't meant to be a dig about if you were there or not. It was a genuine question.

That was pretty shit. I thought we started out really well and they got a goal against the run of play. Then they took over and our midfield didn't seem to get going. Frustrating day.

On a positive note we're not 10 behind no more ;-)

Well I know it's a touchy subject. It's a common ballet (another upper-class reference for you) on here, the opinons about other fans' opinions. I mean.... fine, boo, I almost never do it when I watch football but I just thought that on this instance, Sturridge tried to show some respect when he scored (when he could have easily gloated) and ok, he tried to act himself a penalty, but it's not like the dive was Suarezque or Youngesque. What he did, I feel was in the limits of decency so to say...

It's like when Aston Villa fans still boo Gareth Barry or Arsenal fans boo Clichy. They did fuck all wrong, get over it. I know the story here's a bit more infected, but if anything, we should all join together and go to Mark Hughes's house and boo him for letting Sturridge go and while we're at it, for putting so much money on RSC. You dig?

And it went in."

Well, that negative team scored two goals & the players I mentioned either scored or assisted, so I don't know what would've been a positive team in your opinion today? Three strikers? Back two? Would you rather have seen Tevez, Nasri or even Sinclair instead of Barry, Garcia or Silva?! Are you confident that we would've won the game with another line-up?

Our so-called negative team conceded 9 shots off target, 4 shots on target, 10 corners & 2 goals today, both of which were long range efforts. Given that important players are missing from our team, I thought the starting 11 today was reasonable. Understand now?

Also, given the... lacklustre mentality of hte players and the sloppiness, we would've had a pretty lousyish game today anyway. I think we lack a leader on the pitch with both Kompany and Yaya gone. It's a benign though I know, but I think it applies in this instance.

We've been waiting for a team to not park the bus and open up against us and when it happened we were fucking clueless.
It was panic stations at the back all game. We just tried to desperately hack it clear and failed most of the time, as with both their goals.
No building from the back, no decent counter attacks.
Unfortunately most of our players had an off day.
Need Vinny back.
I hope that like last season v Sunderland this will turn out to be a point gained rather than 2 lost.

You were happy with that in a game we needed to win? As soon as the team was named I knew we'd create next to nothing and that was how it panned out. Why is that so difficult for you? Maybe you are just easily pleased.
We were very fortunate to get a point and we never looked like getting the win we needed. Both our goals were against the run of play. As bad a performance as I've seen this season, but wholly predictable.

I'm not happy with a draw & I thought we were poor for the most part as well, but I don't think the outcome was predictable after looking at the line-up. You haven't answered any of my questions either. I'd really like to see that attacking team you're calling for.

Was Silva injured or maybe unwell? Seemed peripheral to me and with a poor touch much of the game which is most unusual.

Even if he was injured , at that stage of the game Tevez should have come on (Not Maicon) as we needed to fcukign win the match.

I do not understand Mancinis tactics , they baffle and fuckign annoy me.

I can't be arsed reading thorough everything in this thread, as I actually enjoyed today & thought it was a great game of football but I've noticed a 'negative team' theme. Negative team that was hanging on by it's bollocks at times as Liverpool out positioned & outnumbered us in key areas ?

In fact I'm going to start a thread.
