You can bet your arse that whoever comes in after Mancini (whenever that may be) is going to be someone mellow and excellent coach rather than manager.

The question is, what has he been told?

Was it just an individual assessment?

I was asking the same question.

I'm waiting to see if another equal 'quality' journo comes out with something similar, which would then give the impression they have been tipped off that we are not interested.

I don't think we are fully at that stage yet though. Imo, they would prefer Bob to continue for at least most of his contract but if they do decide he's blown it & needs replacing, it's not impossible we could see one more similar appointment before going fully down that road in the future.

I will be surprised if Guardiola doesn't end up at City eventually if he passes his German test though.

Spot on bringing in him would be like Turkiies voting for Xmas. More likely bielsa or peligrini, both are respected coaches and play football. Just may thoughts.

Do you reckon they will find a long term manager?

I think that after the freak has gone, they will become much like anyother club where 3-4 years is considered a decent tenure, as the new manager will have no credit in the bank to tide over a few years of failure and will likely perform considerably worse than ferguson

They have a conundrum, do they back their man like they did between 86-92........I personally think times have changed, they cant afford to be trophyless for a couple of seasons without pulling the trigger, the financal risk of dropping out of the champs league is too great, and the minute at looks like happening, the manager will be gone.

United will go for the safest option in the short term, as the club may be sold by the time Jose started acting the cunt with the board.

I just wonder................

Would we appoint Jose for a few years to stop united getting him? Because I dont think we would see the league title for ssome time if he went there, or do we hang on till we are ready to appoint guardiola as the cherry on top of the academy. Or could we do both? I still suspect there is a potential deal with guardiola which is why he's gone to Germany

The plan could be simply Mancini for a few more years then Guardiola IF he does ok in Germany.

Well.... I thought - and read soooo many, annoying times - the visionary plan was, originally, that he would have been already here, by the summer at latest, granted the visionary assumption of the Club filling two missing positions with two former collegaues of Pep..... actually.

No, that's not what you read at all, it's what you kept telling me I was saying & I kept telling you over & over & over again that I wasn't saying it, but it very annoyingly, that didn't stop you from insisting that I was.

I was saying, as I am now, that City will have been speaking to other managers (they always have & always will, no matter who is in charge) & Guardiola will have been a big possibility, because of his connections & his suitability for the future academy based project; a danger to Mancini if he fucked up. I also said that I didn't know what Guardiola's intentions were, even if he wanted to be a manager again, & that imo it would be a huge gamble & if we took him on at this point, as he has no experience outside Barca.

I also said it would be better if he fucked off to Germany so we don't have the decision to make & don't have him managing next door pinching all our best young players.

He has now taken another job & said that he plans managing over here. City will be one of very few clubs on the list, should he succeed in Germany & decide to come to England.

I see and read.
However, the point still remains that what would be instrumental and decisive, is not what You, Sparty or me, if Bob should persist in making unforgivable mistakes like picking two exhausted HM in the core of the game, but what the Drawers of the Project do.
It has been recently noted and suggested that ADUG could be relying on a slowed path towards further growth, since the Club have already established on top of the stage, which in turn does suffice for the sake of granting a worldwide visibility and advertising of Their interests.

I have no conclusive evidence on whether this scenario is actually true, but It would explain several key situations which sounded quite dissonant to someone who likes to strictly rely on the fact that twos plus twos always make fours:
1) the fact that a shrewd Investor (commonly meaning fast reacting, amongst basic features) like Khaldoon indisputably is, took 2 consecutive summer windows to pay adequate attention to what value Their money were having in return of market operations; and act accordingly
2) what You have noted first, out of Bob yesterday presser... relaxed mood towards the project, I'd define it, with my dodgy handling of Your beautiful language.

Aside, and foremost it, I rely on the confidence that You know how much broadly I do respect Your opinion and I have learned, also thanks to Your valuable effort and patience, to enjoy a good forum banter.

I don't think they will fire Mancini as things stand.

As it is,I think they will make some changes to the playing staff next season & sign a couple of big players as well as some promising ones. But I also think they will be careful to sign MOSTLY players they think are a good investment for the club, so that if they do decide to part with Mancini next season, another manager has a varied & balanced squad.

This however is dependent on how the team performs from now on.

I guarantee that there are several candidates for Mancini's job sounded out, 'just in case'.

Lose tomorrow, or next round, a few mediocre league games, lose at the swamp, & he will lose the confidence of the hardcore support, then he's gone.

It is important that the team finishes strongly.

I'd be extremely scared if there weren't! if I was a complete tosser I may hand over a comparative equation to the drowsy management of the SD role, but I think that the WHOLE Club is on learning curve and the manager role is to much an evident role, even for Investors not exactly used to specificities of the footballing industry... :-)

I think that the Lads will bounce back in style today and throughout the Cup towards, hopefully the next trashing of the Filth in Wembley.
Should the unthinkable happens, instead, I still consider that the Board will stick on Their Chosen man, who delivered the stage They were craving. and go for stability.
But, as a fan, I will certainly join the crowd, as he will have been proved "not a Good Enough men manager". A manager must, first and foremost, feature the ability to motivate his staff and get the best out of them. A momentary sidetracking of focus, can be accepted and forgiven for many reasons: not twice in row, imho.
I shall never blame the manager for finishing League Runner-up or getting out,in lacklustre style, a CL tailormade guoup of death, until the likes of Aguero shall continue to score a goal of the season every now and then, while squandering serial sitters at the trot.
But I won't waste time to ask for his head if he should replay two exhausted holding mids, for more than a game in a year.

The team shall finish strong enough, but if it won't happen I will blame the manager and ask for accorded solution.

Mancio,

With regard to banter, could I respectfully suggest that there are several serious issues surrounding our club that require more serious debate and discussion than others and where your version of banter simply causes confusion, diverts and dilutes those issues. There are plenty of threads, offering plenty of scope to play your word/mind games, allowing you to play the fool.

There is no suggestion that ADUG are relying on a slowed path towards further growth for the reasons you suggest. The underlying policy of continued growth was and still remains to become as self sufficient as reasonably possible in producing and developing 1st team players and that investment continues unabated. Capital spending on the stadium and club infrastructure development too has continued.

It is almost true to say that what we have seen up to now is merely laying the foundations of the project. Getting City into CL qualifying position and cementing that position allowing us access to better income channels, increased global profile, improved European coefficient etc.

The real project has yet to start properly and will do so at the point when our redesigned Academy begins to produce the standard of players we require.

John,

must beg Your pardon, but I am such a brainless thick that I do not even command the same attitude one can be arsed to afford to a Piccs#1blue!
I am such a moron that, after having spent, half a life working in the industry of international financial services, I still believe that there will never exists a governing body able to stop a masterly drawn, legal, business plan, unlimitedly financially backed (theoretically speaking) through a set of accountancy rules
I am such a fucktard that, despite having achieved a legum master on international trade related law and practices, I still believe that an extremely wealthy Investor have countless means to take on courts any governing body trying stop it through a set of accountancy rules that may even remotely and slightly be alleged as "trade-distorting" policy. If deemed necessary.

therefore, I wont' bother to browse back Your posts to copy and paste the quote of You, implying that such a suggestion may be - possibly - taken into consideration.
I wouldn't like to bring Your annoyance to further heights, after I did force You to stop talking me, in order to avoid speaking words that you may or may not regret.
As a retard fellow Blue, but fellow and Blue nonetheless, I just wish You might enjoy the Chelsea game, which I coveted to attend next to You. Unfortunately, respect must be earned, and a thick retard, only capable of a cheap, disputable banter through a language he can hardly handle, certainly does not command respect.

Mancio,

I think you should stop this nonsense immediately. Your recent posts directed at me have started to become quite perverse and somewhat threatening. I think that enough is enough!!!

In a previous post directed at me, you mention the investment you have made with regard to me. Not withstanding the fact that there has not been any investment, I am a human being not a commodity and I am certainly not for sale. That Mancio, is perverse, threatening and extremely insulting. It is not the behaviour of a normal grown man.

That a grown man decides he will not attend a football match because he cannot sit next to me....once again is perverse and threatening. It again is not what could be considered normal behaviour.

In a previous post, I asked you to address a number of specific issues (quite normal on a football discussion forum). Instead of doing so, you ignored the issues, refused to address them and replied with what can only be described as a form of love note to me...Normal behaviour?

Your latest outpouring seems to have been triggered by a couple of lines of a post, where I "RESPECTFULLY" requested that you hold back the banter to allow a more serious debate/discussion could take place on serious issues without unnecessary confusion. I did so politely and gave reasons. You may draw your only conclusions about the normal acceptablity of your response.

May I make it quite clear that irrespective of whether you go or not, I will NOT be attending the Chelsea game, nor using the tickets I am holding. Even though I was aware that I had permission to make use of those tickets, I have not used them for quite some time.

Under the circumstances, I think I have been quite polite in this post.

John,

You are really trying Your best to take me to the point where I shall not have even a word I may not regret to say.

I read that You have now self entitled yourself a medical doctor, after having entrusted Yourself as Tutor in Economics and International law case studies.
Do You really want me to take on showing You what a non self appointed professional, who have been paid to manage international litigations over the last 2 decades can do when forced in to a dispute???
Whatever way Your suddenly emerged mood disorders are forcing You to act, my mind and my emotions are rock solid, hence I am the only one who decides what I want to engage myself on. Your childish desire to take myself into an internet fight shall remain with no satisfaction.

Despite I take pride in having grown into a man featuring a solid education and some solid human values, I am certainly maiden to internet socialization, therefore I must eat my humble pies with regard to my extremely poor ability to assess human values over the internet.
It appears to be just opposite to what I necessarily developed as a main professional feature in the real world: since I joined my first internet community in a lifetime, I have travelled to pay my respect and offer my humble friendship to just three persons:
one turned out to be a cheat, who have decided that he's too lazy to live of anything but gimmicks.
You have decided that FFPR is a more important pillar of Your life than a human being willing to offer his humble friendship to You
and the third is a professional busier than me, who must spare his few private life with his beloved family and his engagements of active sportsman, obviously well ahead of meeting up a forum mate.

Under the circumstances, all I can humbly do, to stay put and avoid to be portrayed as an arrogant mad scum, is to say, once again: yes You, Senior CFO, Lawyer and Medical Doctor are right, and I am wrong.
a) FFPR shall see Man City off
b) the core of the so called project is NOT Financial Sustainability through the only possible way, an accelerated growth of revenue through marketing generated by worldwide acknowledged sporting success (hence necessarily backed with first team quality players).
It is certainly the massive revenue that the Academy - which is still under construction either as a site and as an unicity of technical guidelines - shall generate, not in 10 years time if the necessary corrections are urgently put in place, but certainly in the shortest time that an experienced and skilled businessman like You understands better than me.

Other than saying You are right and I am wrong, Herr Doctor, I can only stay off an environment which I am proved to be not fit to be part of.
Once eliminated the metastasis which is my disturbed self, Herr Doctor, You may continue to profitably dissertate on the perils of FFP, and on Your experienced way towards financial growths, while Your beloved Yorkshire NumberOne Supporter, may continue to explain the merits of restless moaning and managerial anarchy in order to enhance the success of a sporting institution.

I trust that such a sophisticated, multiskilled pundit like You is understanding, through the above, the actual meaning of an enraged, disgusted and frustrated person and shall no longer try to take me on childish games nor insult my intelligence any further.
By scraping my respect and my friendship to You, You have certainly scored a fruitful goal and must be proud of it.

Mancio,

What the fuck are you on about? You are not for real.

I try and discuss the FFPR and the issues that surround it and you totally ignore the issue, refuse to address it and instead send me love notes.

I address the issue of your personal behaviour towards me, which I find perverse, threatening and abnormal for a grown man and you totally ignore the issue and discuss the FFPR.

Personally at this time, I couldn't give two fucks about the FFPR.
Your continuous overbearing and ridiculous personal flattery eg "Sir John" and other shite.
Your decision not to attend a football match because you can't sit next to me.
Your reference to the investment you have put into me. As if you believe I am a commodity to be bought.
Your inane strategy of publicly professing your love for me, which when not reciprocated causes you to play some role of desolate martyr and desperate jilted lover.
Your over-emotional and personal response to a respectful and polite (under the circumstances) request to back off on the banter and allow those who wish to discuss a serious topic to do so.

Do you consider that normal and acceptable behaviour? I consider it perverse, threatening, insulting, ignorant, arrogant, sad, ridiculous, abnormal, patronising....DO YOU UNDERSTAND THAT?????
I KNOW THAT YOU BELIEVE THAT YOU UNDERSTOOD WHAT YOU THINK I WROTE, BUT I AM NOT SURE YOU REALISE THAT WHAT YOU READ IS NOT WHAT I MEANT
