Yep, he's cup tied because he played for us.

I hope Mancini is taking note of this. We saw the same from the rags v Real Mdrid & even though they are a superior outfit to Arsenal, Bayern did the same at the Emirates. None of these teams used any bizarre, experimental tactics; they played a simple, solid game where each bloke knew his job.

The absolute glaring opposite of sending a side to the Bernabau with two players making their fucking debuts or pushing 4 players right up against the oppo's back 4 & leaving the midfield completely empty, like v Dortmund at home or suddenly bringing Kolo Toure into the cb job after a year on a ban away at Bayern Munich, or suddenly changing to a back 3 away from home when you concede a goal.

If the rags had gone to the Bernabau with Nastasic & Maicon on debut, they would have come back holding their bollocks in their hands. Utter fucking disgrace.

So far,the biggest problem City have had in the Champions League is not inexperience, it's Mancini. He has been terrible. Trying to be clever all the time.

He gets one more go imo & I want to see City put out a solid, hard grafting, well practiced team in these kind of games. These teams, like Chelsea did last season, have showed it can be done successfully against even the best. A simple plan which the players can understand & work with, hard grafting players in the team, & you have a chance.

Any more needless, smart arsed, computer game, tactical bullshit from Mancini next season; that will be it for me.

Good post Ted, for the record I do not regard you as a fool or an idiot. Mancio doors but he is a little under the weather, Ambrosini and Montelivio screeening not bombing on Ted like Kamikaze Barry, ok for Yaya to do it, but Barry had to sit at 2-1, and we walk out winners and this season would have been set up big time. Ifs and Butts mate.

All of these teams have much more numbers in the centre & are much better organised. We were getting to that last season, but we have let it slip & are no longer at the same level. We have focused on other stuff & lost our basics before we had even learned them properly. I remember Nev***e stopping a replay of our game v the rags last season & putting circles round all the City players in the centre, explaining how Utd were totally outnumbered & basically; fucked. We were a block, like AC Milan were last night & the rags were spread all over, like Arsenal were v Bayern. That's how we have been this season; all over the place.

V Villa in the League Cup, Mancini tried a tactic which I thought was just to get the game over; he pushed all our attackers right up against their back 4, leaving the midfield just with two. Villa ran straight through it (& Nastasic/Kolarov etc) & dicked us.

When we played Arsenal at home, he did something similar, they ran straight through it often having 4 players running at 3 defenders. He tried it v Dortmund at home & they ran straight through it, on one occasion there was no out ball for Yaya & Rodwell because half the team was missing up front, they got robbed & Dortmund scored.

Mancini's cunning plan, should be to find something the players are comfortable with & play to their strengths, not shoehorn them into some plan he & Plunty fancy having a go at & seeing if it works.

Ted have point there is no some clever idea in AC tactic , just discipline and playing out of the skin to win.
You can't be a real country unless you have a beer and an airline. It helps if you have some kind of a football team, or some nuclear weapons, but at the very least you need a beer.

Chelsea 0-1 down after 1-0 first leg is perfect for us ... get this to extra time (and penalties) ... tire their legs some more please!
