Hard to pick today. I thought Rodwell, Milner, Silva an Kolo/Nasti all played great. I'll go for Milner, though.
Funny how Aguero didn't start playing well until Tevez came on.

I never had you down as being petty. He's been great for us since he signed.

Never had you down as someone who'd get personal.

OK, I voted Kolo Toure man of the match if we have to be serious.

I'm not being personal.

Take it as a compliment that I wouldn't have expected you have a snide dig at a player who didn't even feature in a game we won, let alone one who's done such a good job for us for these last few years. I realise you don't rate him as highly as some of us do, but he's the most honest pro we've got and has been a cracking signing.

Kolo for me. Yes, Joe had the save but Kolo was the one who ran in and cleared it after and he had the brilliant play 1v2 to save a sure goal. and then he was great throughout the rest of the match

I think the fact he was out of the team today helped, it's why I mentioned him. Of course I don't think he was MoTM. But the energy shown in midfield today was one of the reasons the game was won and it's something that has been lacking throughout the most of the season. His like for like replacement was box to box, a goal thread and, is coming second in this poll.

That's my opinion just as saying he's a cracking signing is yours. The debate is probably for somewhere else and you're right to say that he shouldn't be mentioned here. Though in my defence I didn't expect anyone to take my comment seriously (people generally don't).

Ducking out of this. There's too many to choose from. To pick one would do a disservice to the rest

Many candidates today--but I voted for Kolo for his unexpected vigour and leadership. His big brother was pretty good too. Aguero is sooo close to getting on a scoring rampage.

I don't understand the vote for Zabs. He was pretty woeful yesterday, and up to his old trick (c.2008-10) of giving away dangerous free-kicks on the edge of our box at every opportunity.

He's been excellent for the best part of two years, but yesterday he was poor in my opinion.

Perhaps the person who voted for him likes the adrenaline rush that comes with free-kicks from dangerous areas?

I wish I could tell you how I did it but I can't. I thought for all the world that Mario was going to have a go himself but he just moved it on one more and it fell at my feet and I just thought: 'Hit the target, hit it as hard as you can and hit the target.' And it went in."

Although at fault for the penalty, I was very impressed with Kolo. And Nastsic. Bit more game time required to become a partnership but individually pretty good.

Certainly Rodwell's best game till he ran out of puff. If we've cured his injury problem, we may have got the player he looked like he could become a couple of years ago.

PS Nice to hear Shearer last night say how good Rodwell was before saying he thought he moved a year too soon and should have stayed for regular football. Because Everton would have played him with his injury. Obviously.

What was interesting if you watched the highlights on MotD then Aguero was involved in a lot of the moves - no doubt he had a poor match, but I guess quality will always have an opportunity to shine no matter how shite you're playing.
