Interesting(??) report in today's Daily Mirror.

Postby Mikhail Chigorin » Sat Mar 02, 2013 3:30 pm

Don't know if anyone else has seen this or posted anything about it (apologies if they have) but in today's Daily Mirror, there's a big, two-page disclosure about the physical state of the QPR team which turned out against The Scum the other week.

In the run up to that game, Twitcher took his entire squad away to Quatar, for a full week, to prepare. He's supposed to have gone on record claiming that he's never trained a side so hard as the players did in that five day period.

However, one unnamed player seems to have blown the whistle about the whole event being a complete shambles. Training sessions only lasted for about one hour each day, Twitcher and his cohorts were in a different hotel to the players and, in any event, 'Arry was hardly ever present at any of those training sessions.

Left largely to their own devices, the players used the rest of the time as one big drinking binge and some were so physically sick they couldn't attend training the following day, which earned little or no reprimand from Twitcher, or any of his staff.

When they returned to play against The Scum, the poor physical condition of the players, plus the fragmented clique situation now raging at the Club, meant that Taggart's lot merely had to turn up to gather the three points on offer. The unnamed whistle-blower claimed that some of The Scum players seemed to be carrying injuries but they were still far faster than the wrecked QPR lot and easily outpaced them in any chase for the ball.

Granted, this is a report (albeit a massive, headline making one) in the Mirror and the player blowing the whistle has not been named but if there's any truth in the whole story, good old 'Arry wants shooting for allowing such a situation to arise and it throws the way that QPR performed against us into stark contrast.

All in all, if this story is true, it's very frustrating (to say the least).

It sounded like an absolute piss-take. Players left bored for most of the day, nobody to monitor or mentor them. You could almost think the Droopy had actually written off the game prior to it starting and allowed the players to let their hair down.

Following on from the comments made by Twitchy a few weeks ago that QPRs result against us was good because it helped the rags cause, you have to wonder.

Could someone check that dog's bank account please.

Twitcher didn't need a brown envelope for that one. His love of Taggart and hatred for us is there for all to see.

Would it be useful if City invited our future opponents to a night on the beer in Miles Platting or Ancoats?

Twitchy just been on TV, double, maybe even treble twitch mode....denying everything.

Nothing happened then. Sky have proved beyond irrefutable doubt that it was all a load of tosh, Guv'nor.

We love you [strike]Del Boy[/strike] 'Arry.

Some of us mentioned on here last week, how Harry had changed everything v the rags.

He never believes any of his teams have a chance against them, so just experiments or rests players etc. His team went on a jolly, lost to the rags as planned then got stuck in for the next game.

If he ever needs the rags to lose a dead game for them at the end of a season which one of his teams needs to win in order to stay up; they will. It's all about favours at the right time.

Last season he put out a weakened Spurs team at the swamp & a full strength one for the game v City shortly afterwards.

One day, it will be out in the open, Fergies pals who over many years have done what is expected of him, In Italy some teams have a special relationship with the big boys. so the efforts are doubled against an opponent, whilst the loans and and favours are done for towing the line. West Ham faced a Rags team strolling about a few years ago Tevezgate masked what was just score FFS,Warnock is a twat BTW eluded to it. Everton will kick shit out of in a few weeks, not saying they dont turn up with the rags but Moyes has always seemed to me to be happy as fuck to do us. To happy.

I honestly can't make heads or tails of this post. I'm interested in what you're trying to say, but can't make it out.

I honestly think over may years Top clubs including the scum have formed links with other clubs, For instance Bolton fans despise the rags, yet before a ball is kicked Bolton 0 Rags 10 was a given, I think on occasions over my time the rags have under Ferguson done a turn for a turn, Moyes, Sam, Harry, Bruce, to name a few are in the circle of trust. Tony Dorigo said from his time in Italy you are expetced to roll over for certain games and in return the relegation threatened teams down there with you will be spanked by the top club you are in with. It evens out, this season might be a perfect time to see who get a favour as the league might be done early all over Europe. This is normal in many leagues team a) is rewarded by team b)
