*** Aston Villa v Champions - Official Match Thread ***

What no official match-day thread yet?
It's half an hour to team announcement and about 90 mins to the kick-off ...

Here's the team I'm hoping Mancini puts out:

Hart
Zaba - Kolo - Nasti - Clichy
Yaya - Rodwell
Nasri - Tevez - Silva
Aguero

Score Prediction: 0 - 5

PS. I know, I know many would disagree with the absence of Barry/Garcia and inclusion of Nasri ... but I think he'll come back strong, having been put on bench for a few games, and can link up well with the other three up top, especially against a relatively inexperienced Villa.

Really Nasri ? Why ?Rest of the team looks good but Nasri still need some bench time to get that hes place in team must be deserved.

Knowing Mancini he'll throw him back in the mix sooner or later and I'd rather he did that against Villa and not in the Quarter Final of the FA Cup next week or in our next league fixture which is Everton away.

Very attacking formation but likely to leave us exposed defensively to Villa on the break. I can see Mancini playing Garcia and/or Milner for cover and letting Rodwell push forward as against Chelsea to give us height as well as box to box energy. I can see Rodwell getting subbed for Nasri if all is going well.

I think the team will be the same as last time, except we might just see Tevez starting instead of Aguero.

No way ,Aguero always play in form or not , it seams that Nasri , Barry and Edin are punished for Southampton plunge.

How is he lining up?
I hope it's not 3 at the back and Milner/Zaba wingbacks ... and then you have got Rodwell, Yaya and Garcia in front?

or it is a 4-3-3 experiment ... like this:

Hart
Zaba, Kolo, Nasti, Clichy
Milner, Garcia, Rodwell
Silva, Tevez, Yaya Toure

Why does Mancini keep insisting on lining em up differently every single game?

I think:
Hart
Zaba Kolo Nasty Clichy
Garcia Rodwell
Milner Toure Silva
Tevez

Pretty much the same as vs Chelsea..

Could be lined up 442 with Yaya playing off Tevez or a 433 like you said but i'd think with Yaya more central and Tevez and Silva out wide and drifting in like (Silva and Aguero) againist Chelsea

As per Stuart Brennan he's out of the FA cup tie next weekend and could even be out for the trip to Everton as well.

NOT GOOD.
