Like this very much & some clues in there as to our future style.

The kids were doing it in a tournament last summer & even when they cocked it up, Scott Sellars never shouted at them, just let them get on with it.
Our 1st team played out from the back last season, with JL in it. His completion rate was excellent & he usually gives the ball to a team mate immediately btw.By contrast, V Villa, we played plenty of long ball & kept kicking it aimlessly upfield. He wasn't playing.
Douglas Higginbottom wrote:A major part of being able to play from the back is for team mates to make themselves available for a pass. It's when that doesn't happen and the opposition press high that the problems start and the longer ball comes in.Lescott knows his limitations and is fine at simple passing and knows when to get rid rather than be fancy. He doesn't lump it anything like as much as some would have it on here who just like to moan for the sake of it.

Lescott is yesterdays news.
Move on.

I have which is why I voted for Nasti as part of our best center back partnership.I didn't realise it meant I couldn't comment on something in a thread where he gets a mention. Please accept my sincere apologies.
