I'm with you to be honest. Rather face them in the semis

I think we all knew it was going to be that. Play your heart out boys and one hand is already on the trophy.
I fancy us against any of the teams in the first draw.

Nice to be there & not worry about it.

Plus, if ANYTHING can stop the rags winning the league, it's the effects of a replay v Chelsea followed by a semi final v City. By rights, that game today should lose them Camelgob for 3 games.

Flight home for the semi and fuck the final if we get there again

Just like last time the big game will be the semi, the final will be an anti climax

And if scum wins their replay, we'd be playing them twice in a week ... Monday April 8th the Derby at theirs and Saturday/Sunday April 13th/14th is the Wembley Semi Final. I think ours would be the second SF in sequence of balls drawn to consider so on Sunday 14th.

Most important thing - we might not be able to stop them winning the league, but we can stop them getting a double. Us winning the FA Cup will also take some shine off their league win (assuming we don't catch them)

Interestingly, just heard that was talk in press box that replay may have to be played instead of derby game. I suspect that's too close to the semi final for ticket sales and, more importantly, sorting out policing with potentially City fans travelling down from Manchester and rags having to fly in.

It would make more sense for the replay to be a weekend in advance of the derby, which would give us chance to close the gap. Yes, they'd have a game in hand, but it could be 9 points, plus any other dropped points by the time of the derby. Could they take the pressure?

FOOTBALL wanted anything but this draw didn't they. Us, them & Chelsea (i guess) wanted an easier route to the final.
If the Semi is us v them, my red husband...WELL I'm not watching it with him, thank goodness he goes to the pub when they play on the telly.
I hope Blackburn get to the final...they will bring the most fans, unless Wigan 'borrow' some of the town's Rugby league fans (got 21,000 the other week)

Not sure when a replay may be, we could be waiting a while, especially if Chelsea get through in the Europa Lge this Thursday which is likely.

Game cant be played week beginning 18th March or 25th March, as its designated international week. Also cant be played weeks 1st or 8th April (if Chelsea get through on Thursday) as thats Europa League Q-F dates, and that takes you up to semi-final weekend.

In a nutshell, if Chelsea get through on Thursday, the FA have a major problem and may look at shifting Prem games or forcing Chelsea to have to play on a Monday and Thursday in the same week - not ideal.

And of course there's Utd's champions league tie to ........ oh no, they are out of course, even though they beat Real Madrid 1-2 apparently, and 2-3 on aggregate.

Ideal scenario for us is Chelsea somehow winning the replay, AND staying in the Europa League as they then would be playing on the Thursday before the semi - which obviously would put us in the sunday game - and would mean they would have played a hell of a lot more games than we will prior to the match. 3 games in the previous 10 days, whilst we'd have likely played once.

So cue the "my cat has aids and is dying and the kids are so upset that the only way they can go on with their lives is if I can find 4 adult tickets to the game against the rags. I'd be willing to pay over the odds I just want my kids to be happy again. We were life long blues up until this season when we had to let our season cards go due to the vet bills." Stories.

Very true.

Basically if you are a Seasoncard holder AND in the FA Cup scheme, you are guaranteed to have a ticket if you want one. Most seasoncard holders will get one as the allocation is around 32k. I believe our seasoncard holders are capped at about 36k - is this right?

It was 36k last time I heard and if I am remembering rightly the semi tickets went on general sale to season card holders last time aswell.

The final is something like 26k though so a lot of people will miss out again. Especially now the points are up in the 10 -11 thousand mark.

Fucking 40,000 corporate knob heads ruining shit.

Chelsea will beat them. Chelsea are terrified of us. The 3 games this year, they played scared. Had their arses handed to them in a high hat twice and wouldn't come near us on their own turf. Pussies.
