Nice guy, good football, seems loyal and I'd be happy if he got a step up.

That said I'd be massively underwhelmed if we looked at him if we were hiring again.

An excellent manager and a likeable bloke in my opinion.It is a bit odd how variable Wigan are, 0-3 at home to Liverpool then murder Everton. Maybe the only thing he lacks is a bit of fear from his players.

You're right GDMcT, but just perhaps, this time they really wanted a Wembley appearance , rather than the points against scouse 1 ( or are they now scouse 2?). it would make sense, bring a little extra to their fans, the chance of a day out in the fog.... a chance for some more revenue and still stay up ?
