Malaga on the rough end of some decisions - should've had a goal

My point was by current quality measures (ie champs league is the dogs bollox) messi is doing quite well but its impossible to compare like for like as the game is so different these days.

I am well aware that Pele never played in Europe

Pele also did alot for the game when he didn't kick a ball. He became a UN Ambassador and was involved with fighting corruption in the Brazilian game. I think is what sets him aside from Maradona as he was never branded a cheat or had a career dogged with controversy.

Walcott should have been through is the linesman didn't fuck it up.

Also about Pele not playing abroad - Brazil was under a totalitarian regime at the time and Pele was named a "national treasure of Brazil" so by law he couldn't leave the country without government permission. And having a "national treasure" leave to entertain in a foreign land at the expense of the Brazilian people was completely out of the question. Just some perspective

Arse has done well and benefited from Bayern playing sub-par (poor finishing), but Rosicky is very bad. I don't know how he gets a game at all

Many Brazilians still are Country over Club so it's not necessarily a stance that would've bothered him. Pele was loved and known all around the world. His career was flawless and I'm sure it would've continued had he pulled on a shirt for Juventus or Real Madrid.

looks like playing two defensive mids in Gustavo and Martinez is really hurting Bayern. Shaqiri coming on for Gustavo would help.

Edit: Nm, he brought on a 3rd defensive mid.
I'm not really a City fan. I'm just here for attention.

Did Arsenal go out!

Wenger will be a hero in the media tomorrow, even though they knew he'd written the tie off.

You can't be a real country unless you have a beer and an airline. It helps if you have some kind of a football team, or some nuclear weapons, but at the very least you need a beer.

As someone pointed out on Twitter, its interesting to see how the media view Malaga as a fairytale, and yet City are runing football since the year dot.

If Malaga had been put in the Chapions League group that we were, they would have exited the comp in December like we did. Fact.

They played like shit against us in Germany but unlike Arsenal, we failed to score. Then we played like shit & they took over.

They are generally a well organised team imo, with the accent on 'team'. Same with Dortmund. It works in the Champs League & often gets rid of the best talent. Rags almost got rid of Real & Milan almost shifted Barca, just through being well drilled in a simple plan.

Chelsea won it by doing that last year.

Wew have 50 different plans per game & get dicked.
