*** Everton v Champions - Official Match Thread ***

Right, here we go ... three hours to team announcement, four to kick-off ...

Here's my starting XI wishlist:

Hart
Zaba - Kolo - Nasti - Clichy
Garcia - Yaya
Milner - Tevez - Silva
Dzeko

With Kompany, Aguero, Rodwell, Nasri and Micah out, it pretty much picks itself, except a Barry/Garcia slot. What I have seen of them both over the last 3-4 games each played, Garcia ahead of Barry please ...

Score Prediction: Another clean sheet is wishful thinking so I'm going Everton 1-2 City.

C'mon City ... oh, and c'mon Reading!

I'd like to see Lescott start today. I think we will need his aerial strength.

Our annual Goodson hiding beckons I think.

I'm never confident about this one.

On the train heading for Goodison as I type, dreading the game, and sitting in the home stands won't help!!!

We have not lost a PL game after taking the lead this season ... so an early goal will settle some nerves. Inside 10 mins please ...

It is like so much the dreaded game we didn't want in the run in.
Expectations at an all time low?

This is the one we turn that over. My hope is we do it in style so watching isn't like going to the dentists, but hey I can cope with the dentists if we get a result.

Dzeko to find form in this one please.

Also, apparently Tevez is full fit to play, according to everyone apart from SkySports.
Either way, choosing Garcia over Barry is a bit mental - Barry was one of a handful of players last week who were immense. His peak as a central (~etc.) midfielder is now. Garcia has improved over the last couple months, and I have every faith (unlike anyone initialled SS) that he will be a fantastic player for us in the years to come. Barry knows what he's doing in this league though.

Well one striker , smart to sell Ballo and not buy even loan somebody, Yaya and Edin up front then or maybe just Yaya but we don't have anything to spice if we need to if they play , so when Tevez is injured when he train on Friday?
You can't be a real country unless you have a beer and an airline. It helps if you have some kind of a football team, or some nuclear weapons, but at the very least you need a beer.

As I thought, with the exception of Clichy for Kolarov and where's Yaya? Milner to cover when Baines goes on his runs with Dzeko there to help against Everton's set-pieces. Are own set-piece specialist with Kolarov could be the thinking there.

Yaya though?
