Before you start, this is not about why we lost. What I want to know is how he got it sooooooooo wrong?

Anybody got a gif?

He did us more favours overall than not mate, it was a shocking call but so was not giving one for them when Nasty man handled Afro head.

I didn't see that as a penalty mate just as I could understand the offside decision that went for us. That penalty decision was just baffling though, by any terms. He obviously didn't want to give anything but to then give a freekick and take the wall back about 5 yards was ridiculous. I've just seen it again on MotD and he even stands about 2 yeards behind the ball when we're taking the kick. Talk about conspicuous.

As the 'experts' said post-match ... "He wanted to get out of there alive" ... Had he not reduced them to 10 men (which wasn't his fault and they were two genuine yellows) the crowd was on to him every decision and he kind of chickened out ...

I'm not too bothered about penalty to be honest, they had a goal disallowed and a pretty good penalty shout turned down earlier so as far as decisions go, it evened out ... what I am still confused about was how come we never looked like bossing them when they were down to 10 ... It still looked like they were the better side and wanted it more ... MOTD highlighted some shockers from Tevez, Silva and Dzeko upfront, the positions they took and their body language overall ... also what was Kolo worried about being subbed at what 2 mins to go? And not with a defender either ...

Alan was right on MOTD, as a city fan I am more worried about the players body language today than anything else ...

Shocking decision but wouldn't have made any difference imho. Once again Mancini rocks up at Goodison Park not knowing wtf the fuck to do... the team that got dismantled by fucking Wigan beats us 2:0 with 10 men.

One of the worst decisions you will ever see and the clearest example of a referee bottling a major decision I can remember.

It's a good job we deserved nothing from that game and our season was already over or I would be livid about it. I have a huge list of grumbles from today but the ref costing us is not one of them.

In fairness they should have been 2 up by then as their 1st was incorrectly ruled off.

Bent. Whether we deserved anything out of the game or not, it was straight-forwardly bent. And I bet the twat had a good night's sleep last night. Had he done that to the rags (as if) he'd have been having nightmares.

Yes the referee was a joke for both sides but I am baffled that anyone would think he should have given a penalty against Nasti for standing his ground.Never ever would that be given which is basically what Gary Neville said at the time.

Also once they were down to 10 men we did boss the game although we did it without giving the feeling that we would score. We should have though when Milner headed down for Garcia who was sort of wrong footed. When the keeper saved from Tevez and Milner followed up (he needed to lift it) and when Silva gave Zaba the best chance but he need a touch. Also Nasti at the back post for Barry's flicked on header and that's not to mention the nailed on penalty.

Platt got it right saying we probably didn't deserve anything but a decision may have changed all that. I want to know exactly what Mancini was so angry about that he didn't turn up for the post match interview.

There was a suggestion that the ref gave a free kick against Osman who was outside the area. Has this been confirmed/denied?

We got a similar one recently.

And Bob doing one to Italy after each bad defeat doesn't impress me.

For Nasti, it definitely wasn't a penalty for him standing his ground. However, the arm out and around Fellaini probably was, but it couldn't be seen by the ref.

As for the post-match interviews I think it's a disgrace was any manager avoids the press following a defeat. After a convincing win, fine, let the assistant take the credit and the glory. But after a bad result to send someone else out to explain what went wrong is disgusting.

The ref was just incompetent and the lino's weren't much better. From what I can remember this is what was wrong with the game.

Distin not booked for elbowing dzeko.
Fellaini should have been off for the challenge on Milner.
Their disallowed goal was onside.
Silva should not have been booked.
Fellaini should of been booked for handball which would have been his second yellow even though he shouldn't have been on this pitch atall.
We should of had a penalty.
The free kick which was a penalty was taken while the wall was 6-7 yards away. The ref measured the wall the second time before pushing them back again and then turns his back on them and refused to look back when kolarov pointed to the wall moving forward and just laughed.

It all depends what your thoughts on Mancini are. If your an outer then it's a disgrace, if you're an inner then it is understandable.

Personally, I'd have fucked 'em off as well. I'd have been fuming with that performance and the refereeing decision would've sent me over the edge.

Reference him fucking off to Italy, is this correct? If he did, surely it was planned or did he just fuck off to Yoko Ono airport and stand in the queue?
