I didn't think the players were guilty of lack of effort. Once againg this insane 3 at the back system gave the other team the advantage and initiative. You could see our players didn't know who to pick up when defeding, and that cant possibly be down to the brilliance of Everton.

Can anyone remember a time when 3 at the back has worked against a half-decent team?

Yeah, we've won 3 maybe 4 games by going to a back 3.

Tbh it's hard to know if we've ever won a game because of a back 3 or whether it's simply the case that having some width has made the difference & because Bob doesn't sign wide players, back 3 is the only way we are capable of doing it.

Would the tactical 3 at the back & bringing on Maicon for instance, like v Spurs, be more likely to change a game than simply swapping Nasri for Dennis Tueart & then, if neccessary, Silva for Peter Barnes ?

Imo, if Mancini chucked the back 3 down the shitter & signed two brilliant players capable of playing wide, the whole club would go up a level, but it's so unlikely to happen that I rarely even bother to suggest it.

This, plus allowing Coleman to look like Robert Fucking Carlos was a slap at best for the Manger, Kolarover and Silva who had the look of "I have a migrane" can I go home please. I said this at the game if we had drawn this bunch of scouse twats away our season would be in tatters now.
