You can't be a real country unless you have a beer and an airline. It helps if you have some kind of a football team, or some nuclear weapons, but at the very least you need a beer.

Just looked on the Beeb and it says Spain drew with Finland, at home. Surely a typo?

Looking at this game with SM I'm confidently predicting that we will go on to win the World Cup.

Is it just me that thought England were pretty poor tonight.Just shows how bad San Marino were. They are just not acceptable as an international side.Hartlepool reserves would have been harder to beat. Young was awful and then he whacks one in from 25 yards. Cleverley rubbish,Rooney not much better. Just a joke game really.

You're right mate but it's one of those games where you've got all to lose and nothing to win. You've just got to go out and do the normal things and as a player it can't be easy to get yourself pumped for a game like this.

Watched the match on ESPN. Finland played with eleven in their own box for most of the game. Spain scored from a corner and Finland still played with eleven at the back. Then scored a goal on the break. Like an international Stoke team.

Greece is fuckin awful team , how they coming to the finals it s beyond me .3 1 last night and Greece score in last minute on game .Lituania make more chance and more pressure ,if u wanna call somebody Stoke they are the one. If u score against them they have no plan B something like us :) joke , they are really awful. Edin score 2 and now have 7 in Qualifying phase.

Awful as San Marino are (really, truly, terribly, awful) it's interesting watching how the England midfield & forwards approached that game. Everyone wanted the ball, everyone was looking to pass & move, everyone was looking to spot runs in front of them.

Put 11 Germans in front of them & the same players will hide away from the ball, charge head first whilst looking at their shoelaces when in posession, hit impossible 50 yard passes, fail to spot off the ball runs, & shoot when their team mates are better placed.

Just shows the difference a bit of belief & confidence can make.
