I dont care whether Carols got on with Mancini or not, it isnt their job to go out on dates ffs, but when the manager tells you to do something, you do it - especially when you are being paid £170k a week by the club.

Anyone else notice when we won the FA Cup Tevez chucked aside City scarfs that were handed to him, and instead focused on his Argentina flag. I despise the fact he lifted the Cup for us as it should have been Kompany doing it.

Thats not to defend Suarez who too is a total arsewipe, but in a contest of who's the biggest shitbag in terms of behaviour towards ones own club, I think Carlos may just clinch it. Ill never forgive the c**t for what he did to my club, nor will I ever forget it and the sooner he is gone, the better.

Well said pal!

I can Somehow tolerate him when he's producing the goods on the field (especially as others aren't!) but I'm with you lad, I won't forgive him.
You said all the reasons there

I totally agree with Ted Hughes and others: NO to Suarez. What makes a club and attracts fans is who they identify with; scum players/managers/policies ring in scum fans. Those fans who only endear to a team's success for the sake of glory regardless of the moral calibre of its patrons are fly-by-nights i.m.o. and cannot be taken seriously.

The debate wasn't about forgiving Tevez, it was whether it's fair to class him alongside Suarez.

Have another look at the videos above. They are about 5% of Suarez deeds.

Classing Tevez alongside Suarez, is like classing Ron Wood alongside Gary Glitter; yes Ron dumped his Mrs & started hanging around with younger girls, but there is a big big fucking difference .

For the record, I don't think he will come to us but the stats don't lie and we are missing a 20+ goals a season player.

That's two posts in a row where you say we don't have a 20 goal + striker. You don't think tevez will score 5 more goals?!

I know. I just highlighted how spot on Goaters 103 was on Tevez imo, without any sort of comparison to Suarez. I guess I should've cut some parts of the post when I quoted but couldn't be bothered.

But if I DO turn my attention to Suarez, I got to admit some of the video evidence here has been quite shocking and eye-opening. (Had completely forgotten that Vinnie-incident too!!)
Prior to this thread I've just had him down as diving twat (cant be arsed going into the racist debate) but now, he really seems to be quite nasty player doesn't he!

Good player no doubt, brilliant in fact. But I would rather look elsewhere

I believe I said excepting Tevez in one of them?

Let's hope he does hit 20+ eh.

As for Suarez, ted & co have persuaded that perhaps he isn't th right man for us

IF he came it would be with the owner/chairman/manager's blessing. Nothing else to say really. Which is why I would give him a chance, same as anyone putting the shirt on would get.

In Aguero and Tevez we have similar players. What we're really lacking is a powerhouse Drogba/ Shearer type player to mix it up. Dzeko just doesn't cut it. Someone who is commanding and powerful in the air and strong and skillful on the ground.

I think you make a decent case; 29 year-old Drogba would be perfect for us. I don't see Tevez and AGUERO as being that similar, though.

No it wasnt and no he wasnt.

He was banned for using racially offensive language, and was told he was an unreliable witness. The report specifically said they had no reason to believe, nor any evidence that he was racist.

Calling someone a "black man" doesnt make you a dyed in the wool racist, it makes you guilty in this country of being a bit naive to our culture. A point that was corroborated by a british expert on Chilean culture. We might all know that this is all a bit fucking tenuous, but he categorically was not found to be racist - that sort of accusation would have tied the FA up in court for years as its impossible to prove without a weight of evidence gathered over time. And there was none.

Essentially he was banned for being a liar and using words that we find distasteful in this country.

But dont let the facts get in the way of a good sun headline.

Oh FFS, he didn't just call him a black man, he said he had kicked him because he was black and said he didn't speak to blacks. How much more racist than that can you get please?

Have you read the ruling?

It specifically said that there is no evidence that Luis Suarez is racist, however he used language considered to breach part xxx of the code of conduct.

You and I both know he probably is, but that was the ruling

And John Barnes & most other scouse loving wankers, excusing it. Same as Obi Mikel, who was right in earshot of John Terry, not testifying against him, or Balotelli keeping quiet after being the subject of racist comments by the AC Milan owner's brother. It seems that the club comes first. Whether that is sometimes down to fear of being isolated, or misguided loyalty, is a question.

I don't think he's a racist, yes it was a racist comment but how many of us on h ere have made racist jokes before? I guarantee most.

I remember Barnes saying something like 'Ignorance isn't an excuse but in this case, it is' then citing something to do with cultural differences.

Well Mr Barnes, if that's the case then all racism should be accepted and the words that have been spoken to you, that you found demeaning, are nothing but cultural differences.

The defence of Suarez from somebody like Barnes is beyond belief.

It's all about the Wonga.
