Wellbeck may be shite but at least he's fast & shite. What the fuck does Cleverley bring ?

Cleverley brings energy to a very slow team but loses his edge just after the half. That's when he should be off.

As i had just sent the post i kind of realised he does not really have a whole lot of great forwards available so yes Wellbeck is excusable. As for the other mug well i really dont know what's going on with that. Not even squad material.

it is enough to say Milner can play ... whereas Cleverly can't.

Fucking unbelievable. Roy has just mentioned how good certain players were and the 3 he mentioned were Cleverley, Welbeck and Smalling. No others.

Says it all.

The scum are running away with the title despite having a weak midfield which doesn't get found out by English teams. Put that midfield against Euro opposition and you get what happened in the 2nd half. Torn apart.Cleverley and Wellbeck all running but a lack of quality and where was Carrick?

I only watched it because i fancied going out...having two or three pints and hoping my brt would come in...its the first time ive seen cleverly play for england as im pretty much through watching them. He was nearly as anonymous as carrick. Carrick was so anonymous when i joked about him being anonymous and beefy said he was off the pitch i thought id missed a substitution. Can you imagine if 5 of the players were City players? Theres tomorrows fall guysright there. England were there for the taking tonight and have absolutely no clue as a team. They arent a team. Itsnot hodgsons fault. Youve got johnson still playing like hes the star in an under 12 team...gerrard pickingthe ball off of lescott and trying to force things from there...cleverly hopping and skipping about to no effect...what is this shit!?...yet england are still 6th favs with bookies for the world cup. Drop em to 80-1 youll make yourmoney no way will you pay out...aaaagh and i kid myself i dont care...

I see Vincent turned out for Belgium in a week when the scum and Camel Gob take the piss. Not sure if we're a soft touch or simply too respectful. It's not the first time we've had a player out for them to make a comeback for their country.

Hopefully he's unscathed and will be fit for the derby and semi final. I'd pretect him this week as long as we have cover and don't fancy playing a 3 or dropping Garcia back?!?

he managed 90 unscathed apparently and has proven/improved his match fitness/sharpness at Belgium's risk not ours.

I like this perspective, hadn't thought about it like that. In hindsight it was a good result for us!
Still a bit risky for me mind, we have a more concentrated run of games than Belgium, well 2 important ones spring to mind anyway....

There a new star on the horizon in a kid from the Welsh team last night... J. Williams he looked the real deal b4 getting subbed off late in 2nd half!

But there was a downside to the game as a whole.... croatian fans were very very racist even against there own players a lot of boo's n monkey chants going on! Iv seen the tv programs and read the stuff that goes on but watching it in person really was a eye opener!!

The "best" England has to offer:

They're too used to getting away with it in England and can't adapt when the tables are not in their favor. Curious how Young, Welbeck, Cleverly, Jones, and other were never world beaters until the moment they signed for the swamp. by the way, what ever happened to the future captain of England

You can't be a real country unless you have a beer and an airline. It helps if you have some kind of a football team, or some nuclear weapons, but at the very least you need a beer.
