Ever!
You wouldn't see the Rags engineer a goal like that!
That kind of goal requires not only patience, but supreme confidence in the ability of all of your teammates

I wouldn't mind giving Nasri another season if he played every game like that.

It has to be every game for the remainder of the season, though: to merit his retention
As well as scoring the Cup-winning goal

But when I heard he was being frozen out by France, and that French fans didn't want him back, I thought this could work to our advantage

Just read a bit of the thread and can't understand why a few would be giving our players stick. We've controlled this game from start to finish and could be 5 up. Some of the inter-play has been devine and the Toon have rarely had sight of our goal.

Just before the goal though, I was thinking this is the story of our season. Plenty of possession, controlling the game and lots of chances but the ball just isn't going into the back of the net. However, it only takes that one chance to score and the build up for our first was just immense. Crisp fluent football that we've all been waiting for, and it works. The second was just as good and Silva made up for his shot where he took it off Zab's (bastard, he's in my FFT).

All-in-all, a very, very good first half. Good football, 2 goals to the good and it'll be hard for Newcastle to now get up to speed, especially with their keeper spending an eternity to get the ball back into play.
In the words of my Old Man, "Life will never be the same without Man City, so get it in while you can".

Nasri should really have two assists right now, he has been involved all game, why can't he play like this all the time?

Can't say it's the best we have played but also can't complain too much at 2 nil up. I had their keeper as MotM for a long while as he retained possession so much he was controlling the game.Dozy cheating waste of time tosser.

Tis good to see Nasri playing well like this and continuing from his training week. Carlos busy as ever even if not playing that well.Total domination of a game but only really coming alive late on.

I think it was more of a case of breaking them down, 10 behind the ball and waste time on goalkicks seems to be their entire gameplan.

Well satisfied with the performance so far, we need a chalkboard after this game for Clichy and Zabs, not sure they've spent more than a couple of minutes in their own half.

yes over 3 points
You can't be a real country unless you have a beer and an airline. It helps if you have some kind of a football team, or some nuclear weapons, but at the very least you need a beer.

That should end their hopes of a revival.

That seals the three points: if they had pulled a goal back at 2-0, it might have been panic stations, but not now
(and Chelsea losing at Southampton)
