Next: The Derby

Postby AG7 » Mon Apr 01, 2013 4:04 pm

Normally I start this thread on Monday around this time when the referee is announced for next weekend, but given its a holiday, no ref yet but lets get this thread going early ... will post the ref announcement tomorrow afternoon.

Given their treble is out the window ... errr, I meant double is out the window ... and with them being pretty comfortable in the league, this is their last significant game for this season. They have Arsenal away and Chelsea at home but that's way too late in the season and if they have won it by then won't mean anything to them at least (watch Fergie doing favours to Wenger as a return for RVP though) ... anyway my point being, they'll want to avenge that 1-6 of last season (this fixture) and should we really stuff it to them again, and would still have FA Cup Semi and the Final to go to ... their title, should they manage to hold on to this lead, will have no gloss whatsoever.

C'mon City ... I'll take a 0-7 this time!

It'd be very nice to beat them, even nicer to batter them.

I'll take any win (thanks) but with gratitude turned up a degree for every goal of difference that divides the teams.

0-1 = the sun in the sky, the birds singing and me punching the air in happiness (just love to see them rags beaten)
0-2 = as above but with added chuffedness,
0-3 = and with double added chuffedness,
0-4 = all the above plus the daftest possible grin and a mode of celebration that doesn't bode well for work the next day,
0-5 = up a peg and into the all out party mode - not in work on the Tuesday.
0-6 = on a bender for the week - what job?.
0-6+ not sure really . . . a bit beyond my experience but I'd like to see if both my liver and my employer would take it.
If we had De Gea and the rags had Hart, we'd be top with a 9 point lead and they'd be in 12th place - that's the difference between a 'good' keeper and a 'top class' keeper - 12 places - think about it.

Seriously feel like its insignificant. I know its not and a derby is a derby.. but recent derbies have all seemed to have some importance. I think the main think we need to do as a club is keep their winning points tally to a minimum.

We are the Champions of England and will not expect anything less than giving these t****s the hiding they deserve.

No derby is meaningless and we need to keep rubbing their noses in it every time we can.

Agreed. We need to beat them just to show that we're the better team and they have won it this season due to our own shitness and not their superiority. If we can batter them, then the more the better. I hope we don't send out a second-string team as I'll be seriously angry.

It's about time we pointed at the Emperor's 'new clothes'.

Can see it being a close one.

Beating us is a very important thing for taggart. The league is won but he still wants this because we got right under his skin last year.

Bitter old fart.

Look at what he keeps aiming at Sunderland fans. That's an indirect dig at us and what we put them through. There's a week between the Derby and FA Cup semi so we should play the strongest team possible. If a player is injured in one then it's possible they would've been injured in the other.

This is a cup final followed by a cup final. Go out to win them both.

It would be great if someone preferably us gives them a good hiding before this season ends, just to see what cringeworthy comments the rag loving media would be spouting.

I really hope Mancini does play the strongest team possible and goes after them. Yes, preemptive moaning, but I'm already nervous about seeing the team sheet on Monday. Only because I know that we can easily tear them a new one, I just hope Mancini sees that too.

They could be dangerous as they're under no pressure really, but they don't deserve the sort of respect We can sometimes be prone to offering...

With 659 million Rag fans and 14 City fans watching, we've got to go with our best side, it's the law.

Maybe they can keep it below 6, make a game of it this year?
