Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

As my home town club I just wanted to have a shout out to Chester - reformed club after the old one went under. Fan owned and just secured their third promotion in three years and next season will be playing conference football. Fantastic for the fans who stuck with the club during their bleakest hours, I'm sure we can sympathise about how a fall & rise can galvanise fans together & how much sweeter that success tastes.
They've also only lost one game all season & scored their 100th goal in securing the title - almost Keegan-esque ;)

Yeah good on them. Its lovely to see a little club from where you come from do good.
Enjoyed seeing Huddersfield get their promotion last year, just a shame they are going back down.

I got 'deja vu' reading this thread just now - did you congratulate them last year or am I going mad?

They're in the same league as Halifax Town who I watch 3 or 4 times a season and Chester have walked that league this season. Congrats to them, just hoping that Halifax can hit the play-offs in good form and then join them in the Blue Square Premier.

Happy for the fans, they're what it's all about in the end.

Yes and they need to be careful about the timing to FT as they've already made a loss last season in aiming for back to back promotions (off set by first year profits) - it'll be also interesting to see what crowds they pull when they aren't creaming the league

I've got to admit, it was 50/50 that I was a mentalist.
