I did the chicken dance 3 times and never spat at the plasma once(Mrs was watching me the whole match) , even when the cheating ref decided to add another 1 min 20 seconds for the MUNCHENHAUSENS.

Mike Dean is about as fair a ref as you are going to get, stand by that, however the Silva yellow and the Shrek non-red were just plain wrong.

Exactly right.Shrek could easily have gone for the tackle.Maybe even a 2nd yellow for what he said to the ref immediately after. Stopping the game for half time just as Clichy was about to cross was plain wrong and then he goes the other way at the end when he allowed them to take a corner with nearly a minute over the time already gone. Having said that I thought Dean did ok.

Elated tonight. City looked almost invincible, in the way they were the first quarter of last season. They bossed United out there, and I felt utterly joyful watching a City team doing that. Now, some wine perhaps....

Easily the best display this season.

Delighted with the whole team, but special mention to Zabba screaming at young, Milner and Barry being dominant in the middle and aguerrrooooooooooooooooo

I am also wondering why Barry got a yellow and no-one else when it seemed virtually all the players on the field joined in pretty much evenly. But yes, Dean is generally as honest as they come. For the first time I had my doubts about him last night, although in fairness I have no idea (but I can imagine) what kind of shit he was getting through his earpiece from darth's favourite nephew on the touch line.

The four officials should be recorded and the recordings made available to clubs upon request.

Well worth getting up at 2.45am for.

Interesting how Giggs committed four fouls and didn't pick up a card, as well as getting nothing when Barry got booked for their head to head.

Having said that, it was better for us that he was on the park. Absolutely useless.

Love this thread. Love the fact that there's optimism finally.....at least for a while. Great night last night.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

Has anyone got a GIF of Rooneys two footer? Was worse than Kompany's last season yet he only picked up a yellow.

Just to add, United have now only won 3 out of 7 matches since the turn of March.

Man Utd 1-2 Man City
Chelsea 1-0 Man Utd
Sunderland 0-1 Man Utd
Man Utd 1-0 Reading
Man Utd 2-2 Chelsea
Man Utd 1-2 Real Madrid (agg 2-3)
Man Utd 4-0 Norwich

Brilliant ;-)

And now I'm listening to a miserable Dwight Yorke on TS.

Even more Brilliant.

Girl in my office works at the swamp in hospitality.

She told me this morning that there were rags crying after the game last night.

They are so fucking pathetic.

Don't get this thing with Mike Dean. He's been poor in our games this season, from the first Arsenal game at home and subsequently, he's given the other team the decisions whenever he can. Strikes me someone has had a word after his excellent refereeing last season. Anyhow, hangover aside, I am chuffed to bit today.
