Build a bonfire.

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Build a bonfire.

Postby Piccsnumberoneblue » Tue Apr 09, 2013 7:44 am

I've not seen a thread about this and I've just had a little glance through to see if I could find one , but all to naught.

But I have to say that this little story about a racist song at an England game, that again popped up yesterday has really irked me. Filth fans have sung this pathetic childish song for years, in fact as a schoolkid in the 70's it was sung back and forth between City and united fans. But as we left the infant school playground we left it behind there. But when did that become racist? And more importantly why has not one commentator or journalist pointed out, "actually that's a terrace favourite amongst the unwashed ranks at the sty"
Why isn't it racist when they sing it? All they did was replace a couple of words.
Whether it's racist shouldn't be the issue, it should be that it's a fucking feeble eight year old's song.
City and sniffing knickers.

It WAS a playground song about the teachers wasn't it?

It's idiotic campaigns like this that give 'racism campaigning' a bad name. Same with that troublemaker from the racistly-named 'Black lawyers society'.

Just because you want to burn someone on a bonfire doesn't make it racist. In fact, back in the day all my teachers were white! :-)

I think witches are 'other' because if you fill a council claim forms in nowadays it lists all kinds of possible races and race combinations and if you don't fit into one of those categories then you tick 'other'. I'm pretty sure that any witches claiming benefits would tick 'other'.

I tick 'other' myself because I was born & bred in Manchester but in my soul I feel like I'm an eskimo and eskimo's never on the list.

PS. If you're a witch reading this then rest assured - I know what it's like to be classed as an 'other' and it's not nice is it.
If we had De Gea and the rags had Hart, we'd be top with a 9 point lead and they'd be in 12th place - that's the difference between a 'good' keeper and a 'top class' keeper - 12 places - think about it.

tuesday morning on talkshite don mcguinnes united reporter who was at the match, said there was some great banter between the fans,
city fans were singing last time we were here we won 6-1, united fans replied you played 6 games in europe and only won 1, to which mcguinnes added a fairly good reposte from scum fans, it would have been but i thought we drew 3 and lost three. brazil and the moose on talkshite talking about footballing comebacks and city coming back from 2 behind to winn play off final v gillingham to win in 90 minutes. city fan texted in saying we won it on pens, brazil commentated on that game for sky, said well me head tells me it wasnt a penalty shoot out but im not sure, ycnmiu.

There used to be a poster on the MuEN (might still post there) who was called 'It's party time in Kent tonight!' A line from Brasil after Gillingham had taken the two-goal lead. So even if he's a bit vague on the details, not everyone is.
