Rag fans in and out of the media

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Rag fans in and out of the media

Postby PeterParker » Tue Apr 09, 2013 11:53 am

Bunch of cunts, aren't they?

You really can"t have a logical discussion with them after last night, without them talking about City's history.

Beside that, the media outside the UK was pretty biased, in the terms like: I saw in L"Equippe the match post view and there were sentences like "Ryan Giggs, WHO WAS ALMOST PERFECT LAST NIGHT, made a small mistake that lad City's first goal", the local big newspapers were shit aswell, the first one didn't had anything posterd about the game, just the preview where United were considered the most important team in the history of this planet, while the second one was written by some lad that looked like his whole familly was murdered. He had only bad words for Mancini, etc, AFTER WE WON. What the hell was up with that?

And the tv media was shite too, almost every reactions was that they played bad. That is it, they played bad, not that City took a piss on their tactic and were stellar, not that Dave couldn't let the ball go and so on.

How fucking biased are they?

were you watching Canal +?
up until half time there seemed to be 2 pundits/commentators bigging up the rags, and one for city , but from then on the commentary AND the punditry seemed to be reasonably fair , and they called City as the best team at the final whistle, even saying they had dominated, and deserved the win. I may be remembering through a happy haze, but that's what i heard. One thing though, i wondered if the TV feeds were provided by SKY as there was NO pictures of the city fans until about the 86th minute, even though they clearly outsang the 'home' fans, ( i especially appreciated "Fat granny sh*gger, you're just a fat granny sh*gger").

Don't think that fits the agenda.
Seems to me some of our experts are busy being upset that we are not considered a club anymore, whose fans people can have a drink and laff with. The experts seem to be getting their knickers in a twist because people are saying apparently naughty things about us.

Well the experts better get used to it.
It goes with the territory of being rich and being good.

I suppose it depends on what papers you read.

To be fair i have avoided the Newspapers since " Ding Dong The Witch Is Dead",and i don't read many anyway.

Nice piece in the Independent today, giving a hypothetical run in for the RAGS and us,with us winning the League on goal difference. It is possible,"chokeatstoke" and you never know.

Well here in the Americas the commentary was, as always, very fair - there are no rag loving munchens as far as the Latin commentators are concerned.

Thats why I listen to them and not some English speaking cock from Sky etc.
THEY SAY SWEARING IS DUE TO A LIMITED VOCABULARY. I KNOW THOUSANDS OF WORDS, BUT I STILL PREFER "FUCK OFF" TO "GO AWAY"

The local commentary was quality, a bit surprising to be fair, they always had a wankfest when it comes down to the rags, but they were okish last night, even blaimed in a rude way Mike Dean, for stopping too early the first half.

But after that, the post show was horrible and the reactions were even worst. Saw then this morning Yorke, that was worst than a retarded person and so on.

Working in the sports media myself, took a piss today about last night and their frustration was even worst than ever, they had on and on the same line: "20-3".

And this was a bit of international press, french and romanian, not english. Not to mention the pre-build-up week when the media was more biased than ever.

well i turned off before the post-match analysis, went and did a liitle jig, had a cup of tea, and then amused myself when my sister (who married a u*d fan -loth to call him rag, because he's from mcr and has been going since he was kid- and then discovered football) phoned up.

mcmanaman & the sidekick munchkin tried their best to slate City all game but were forced into praising Aguero at the end. Ridiculous the double standard when responding to the lunging tackles by the scum. "Rooney just a bit unlucky in his timing there. You can tell there was no real intent." compared to "Kompany is lucky to be on the field. You just can't go in like that in a game like this." Biggest pair of fucking cunts in my opinion.

If you listen to the rags they say Darke never has anything good to say about them since he is an Arsenal fan.

Let me translate that from rag-speak for you:

I'm abroad at the moment and watched it without any sound in a pub. Didn't take anything away from it. Who cares about commentary! It's not like you have commentary when you go to a game.

I would love it if there was an option for just noise from the players, managers, and crowd from a few well placed microphones. Would make you feel closer to the game and take out someone blabbering for 90 minutes straight.

That would be a good idea tbh. Most of the time though I'm either at the game or watching it with fellow supporters and I barely pay attention to the commentary and I don't think many people do either. I mean I don't need someone to tell me 'Silva's on the ball' - I can see that myself!!
It adds nothing to the game.

Attempted wind up on every thread. And "experts" mentioned in each line.

Keep up the good work! :)

The 'Silva's on the ball' thing is ok by me - there are likely to be people with less than 20/20 vision, or neutrals unused to seeing our players, watching the game. What really pisses me off is the pundits arse-wipe opinions and endless ridiculous peripheral facts about players fathers or uncles etc. what utter crap - they seem to feel that they have to sell themselves as having some kind of special knowledge. A bit like the cheesy radio DJ's used to be like in the 70's - constantly talking over the music as if they were the entertainment and not the songs.
Serious music fans graduated to the late night shows that just said - "this is a song by" and then left it like that so that listeners could listen uninterrupted by some self-loving wanker.
I just hope that football punditry's going through a bad phase and that it'll recover and get back to being about presenting the game without the waffle. Maybe there'll be deals eventually struck to end the monopolies enjoyed by certain broadcasters so that we get choice of which channel to watch a game on - I think that most would go with the low-waffle version so that they could concentrate on the games without having their intelligence insulted by a twat like rat-boy or similar - that'd put a good few of the current flock of garrulous pundits out of work or so I'd like to think.
If we had De Gea and the rags had Hart, we'd be top with a 9 point lead and they'd be in 12th place - that's the difference between a 'good' keeper and a 'top class' keeper - 12 places - think about it.

I may be too far distant (and obviously being a johnny foreigner, bandwagoner, patronizing slaver, wishing to steal others' STs instead of supporting my local Club, doesn't help either) but I haven't seen much of that going with the Rags territory....
but I must be wrong - surely - cause I have never contributed with anything of note, and I am only driven by the will of destroying important debates.

1. "unintelligible language"
2. "ACID QUEEN"
3. "never once fails to turn a football thread into a himseelf thread"
4. "thumbs stalker often resulting in repetitive thumb strain"
5. ignore the cunt. he's on permantent wum mission. only TIDs may know City

You'd need to make a very good psychiatrist in order to guess what next in a eight yrs long line of hatred...

In Roger Ailes/Donnie Drumpf's words: "don't know it for a fact, but many people say so..."
there must be some truth, then!
