I don't want to put it on that Viagogo thing because that only makes it more expensive for the buyer so I'm offering it at face value to anyone who might be placed to pick it up from north manchester at some point today. It's a £50 seat in Block 139 - anyone interested?

Give it a thread of its own, mate. It'll go relatively unnoticed otherwise and you could be doing another blue a big favour.

Thanks for the advice. I wasn't sure that I could start a thread as I'm quite new to this forum but I'll have a go ta.
If we had De Gea and the rags had Hart, we'd be top with a 9 point lead and they'd be in 12th place - that's the difference between a 'good' keeper and a 'top class' keeper - 12 places - think about it.

Wrong, Foy overall has been quite fair for us, in the 30 City games he has officiated he has only given us the following;

1 City Red, Opposition 2
38 City Yellows, Opposition 48
16 Wins, 6 Draws & 6 Losses

He made one MASSIVE mistake in giving Kompany the red in the FA Cup last season, but over 30 games he has been very fair with stats actually leaning slightly our way overall.

You base your assertion on statistics? I go off what I see at the games.

'Stats leaning our way'? What if all the opposition cards were deserved, but none of ours? Obviously massively exaggerated, but you get the drift. Basing ref integrity/competence purely on statistics sounds like hefty bollox to me.

And I suppose neither of your opinions are ever biased hey? The stats are proof that he has given less cards of both colours to us than he has given in our favour, whether he has been right every time or not is irrelevant given that this average shows that he has favoured us over 30 games and 11 years.

I have a season ticket and I go home and away, therefore I have watched him reffing us as much as anybody, however I am a realist and I know that what I feel at the ground is not always a true reflection of the decision. I know there are some bitter little cunts about who give the rags reason to tarnish us all as "bitters", but I personally am not so pathetic, I realise that not everbody is against us, just some.

Tbh I don't even remember any game he reffed apart from the FA Cup derby shambles & I don't particularly care as I'm not the kind who bothers looking up the referee before kick-off anyway. However, your conclusion from those stats is questionable to say the least, that's all I was trying to say. There's no telling whether he really favoured us or not without recalling all the decisions, which I quite frankly couldn't. Stats as card distribution or win percentage on their own are in no way an indication of the quality of a refereeing performance or the existence of any kind of bias.

As for Foy, I don't even have an opinion on him apart from being an incompetent cunt on the day he sent off Kompany. Whether that was anything but incompetence, who knows. It's understandable that most City fans don't like the bloke, it was a horrendous decision in a very important game & got a fair amount of coverage.

It doesn't matter.

There is a deep lying feeling that this game will cause us no problems and we will waltz into the final and destroy whoever we face.

Loved that game, possibly more than the final. Was the first proper victory over the Rags in ages aswell.

Prob my fav game I have ever been too. Growing up in the 90s was a tough time for any blue and I like many others thought they would never see the day where we would be the better team. That for me was the day we arrived and we did it against them horrible rag bastards. Will never ever forget that day or the feeling I had when Yaya scored.
