Looking good tbh.. I think if we'd have signed our targets pre season we'd have been looking at the double quite comfortably.

I'm not sure about that mate but we sure would be competing.

The future's looking very bright. We're retaining our best players and I'm sure we'll see some real progress in this summers transfer market now we have the Spaniards in place.

Oh how things have changed. Can it get any better?

I don't know beefy. If we had the rapist and the scum didn't we would be 10-15 points clear of chelsea and the scum would be 9th.

If we win the FA Cup won't we have done the double?

Maybe, but would you want that cunt!

PS. The Rags are killing, they can't stand the thought of us winning a major trophy. The FA Cup is an enigma to them and they don't quite understand which is greater. They're gutted, even though there's a final to play.

If they hadn't got RVP they would have got somebody else and probably would not have been far from where they are now.If we had got 1 or 2 serious signings AND played seriously all season we would have been with them.

That's a big AND.We have been our own worst enemies this season losing points in games where we shouldn't have and I don't think it's right that it was all down to not making a signing or two.We probably expected a few wins that didn't happen rather than just making them happen.

The future is bright though for sure and that's whether we win the cup or not.I expect a minimum of major signings and there may of course be some leaving but the end result will be a stronger team/squad I want the league back and yes of course I want more from the chumps league but the prem first and maybe a cup on top.

Definitely looking good. As you suggest we just need to make the right moves this summer, something Tricky should do. Nobody wants a repeat of last summers dash for players after all.

A league and cup double is a nice target, one I would be delighted to achieve but call me greedy.. I am also hoping for something more to cheer about in the champions league next year as well, really think we should be doing much better in that.

League, cup and chumps quarter finals, would be grand. Very grand indeed.

(who would have thought these would be my expectations for a forthcoming season five years ago.... what a crazy transformation this club has taken... amazing!)

You are a great bloke mate and I totally agree.

For me, this season didn't start as we wanted but it was quite obvious (early) it wouldn't end as a certain few expected. Myself, I was one that didn't expect us of having a chance for a trophy but the chance of silverware is now more prominent.

2nd place, a FA CUP final, it's a hard life mate.

there's no guarantee that with Rip van Arse in the squad we would get so many soft penalties like united do.

Even with the players we wanted you would still see teams give up the ghost against that rabble.

Rip has been in shockingly poor form for months and has no pace.

It's taking a little bit longer than we thought but United will fall , no doubt.

they are ahead because we have given up too many points not because they are a better team as was proven again last week.

They are also that far ahead as bar us, no one else in the league can be arsed to push them all the way & teams have capitulated against them. Clubs haven't got used to us as a dominant force yet so we've not seen that in as many matches against us except for Stoke at our place, when they do they'll start shitting themselves & we'll have a psychological advantage

Optimistic view when injuries exposed our lack of depth. Too many key players carried niggles or injuries from Aguero to Kompany to Silva.

Next season should see us improve. A returning fit Richards and Rodwell will be like top new signings. Garcia and Nastasic will be better. Who knows who is lined up to come through?

Players in will have already been targeted. Players out will depend on better replacements or young players with potential like Nastasic.

Ferguson reckons ManU's future is Falcao (today's Daily Mail.) He got it right this season with RVP, hope he doesn't do it again next.

So Marca lack a headline one day last week and crack out, from utter thin air, Falcao to United to sell papers. 24hrs later the English press run with it citing "spanish sources" and this crap has continued to roll out across the weekend. Utter made up rubbish.

He is far more likely to go Chelsea. The scum are hunting for a new CB to long-term replace the camel, not ANOTHER striker.

Don't believe the papers mate, especially Ladyboy and the Mail!
