3-0 win at home last season and 1-0 win away

2-0 win away this season

We've won our last 6 premier league matches against them in which they haven't scored a single goal

Right I clearly was talking shit then.

I remember a 1-0 win at home in which they were were worth a point - and almost got one right at the end - and a 1-1 draw there with Vinnie equalising for us.

I think I'm still haunted by the time I went to the JJB and we were 2-0 down by the time I got to my seat (I think we lost 4-0). The other time I went there we lost 4-3 and Jason Roberts and Henri Camara bitched Dunne and Distin all afternoon. That game was around Christmas time in 05-06 I think.

Don't know if they do it every game but pretty much whenever I've watched them it has been 3 at the back

I wonder will we see two teams playing like that tomorrow?!

Fuck me I hope he's learnt emough about that never to do it again, unless we're losing with 10 minutes to go!

Wigan are currently the best they've ever been. Got some tidy players. Having said that they're still relegation candidates and we are much better. So we should put them away 3-0.

Would that be the game where Zabba scored with a volley, Dunne got sent off, and Zaki missed a header from about a metre and a half?

Definitely pre-Zabba and probably pre-Zaki. It was some time between 2005 and 2007. Pre-Sven, even, so both games must've been Pearce era (Keegan left before Wigan got promoted).

EDIT: Or are you referring to the 1-0 at our place? That's was definitely in the last three seasons. I'd wager 2010-11.

I now remember the Zaba volley game. Wasn't it his first goal for the club? That was probably late 2008 or early 2009, right? Must've been if Dunne was still with us. I remember I was in Madrid at the time too, funnily enough.

Yeah, I was talking about the home game in Early 2009 (January or February). I usually have a very hard time remembering specific games, but the ones I've seen in situ stands out.

We were very lucky to hang on to the three points that day!

The 1-0 referred to with Zabaleta's goal was Bridge's debut. Dunne was sent off. Hughes was the Manager.

Fantastic to see Micah back. Mase will be well pleased with the line up as well. I guess Clichy deserves a rest after Sunday, though, so I'm ok with Kolarov getting some game time for once.

Milner and Zaba getting a well deserved rest.Yaya will have all the freedom he needs and it will be interesting to see how Barry and Garcia fare in the creative side of things.Strong enough team for sure but with Wigan likely to be fully up for it I hope we are right from the start.
