Stoke are just shite and the sooner they're down the better.
We really need Villa to take something from them. If so hope might just return and they'll start to feel the pressure.

Been travelling and missed the semi final and this match. From what I read I didn't miss much tonight and saved myself from a lot of agro for 83 minutes. Still 3 points in the bag is what counts. Thanks Carlos (my FL captain !). Rags dropping 2 points was a bonus. C'mon City, you never know !!

That was my 4th game in 5 days and it was pure punishment. As a season ticket holder that kind of torture is built into your season ticket but imagine paying £45 for that pain!

We carried too many passenger and gave Wigan the freedom of midfield. Thankfully Martinez gambled taking off Di Santo and bringing on McManaman allowing the game to open up in midfield.

Kolarov - worst performance I've seen since Wayne Bridge

Garcia - passenger

Micah - The man is built for attacking football, if he cannot attack he's a waste and playing him them telling him not to just neutralised the right back position. Zabaleta must really have been struggling.

Sinclair - the man has energy is quick an the discipline to close down. The first attributes have been discovered.

Basics - once Milner and Dzeko were on the field we actually closed someone down and changed the game. It shouldn't have to be down to two players.

Wigan will rightfully feel as if they were mugged.

I love Roberto Mancini, but rotating the fullbacks and starting with Barry and Garcia and benching James Milner very nearly killed us.We should have lost tonight.

I understand we need to make changes. But that was just toooo fucking much.

Also wtf was that kicking a rugby ball in to the football net at half time interval about ?.............Couldn't believe it,there's no place for a rugby ball at a footy match.I wish they would do away with all the nonsense its fucking cringe worthy.

Flat performance and a great result.I don't like to hear Mancini making excuses about tiredness bla bla bla even if there is bound to be some truth in it.He made the comments so I am sure he expected it so why didn't he freshen up the team more and more sensibly.

A midfield with Garcia,Barry and Yaya is always going to have some problems against a team that can play and Wigan can play. Great to see Micah back but I thought he looked way off the pace and was poor.Yaya had a rare night where his control and touch was poor ,Aguero just wasn't with it,Kolarov was mostly crap but it was good that Lescott performed well. Joe Hart made that one special save,Vinnie mad a great last ditch challenge.

I also thought Edin was pretty good and even Sinclair showed good energy helping on the right side. All in all a lucky win but I have to say I was pleased that once we scored we didn't give them much of a look in.

Theres some confusion on here tonight about our performance and the rag result.

Lets be clear. We are the champions and we had the talent to retain our title this year.. but we didnt regardless of the rags. Forget their game and their offside goal.. we were inept tonight. We won and great, but to win the league next year we dont need players... we need hunger and desire to fill our quality boots. We need fuel. Lets not make excuses.

Just back from the match - nearly got blown off the M56!!!
Sure the rubbish strewn around the pitch can't have helped.

Micah first match since October = rusty
Garcia = Good looking otherwise.... Goodbye
Alex kolo = terrible.... Goodbye
Nasri = great action but poor reaction... (a bit like Mario?) Needs to grow a pair.
Aguero = Two twenty minutes cameos before a full Wembley (he looked dead on his feet at the end of that) means he needs a few more days r & r.

Also I think the fact we've played Scum at swamp and Chelsea at Wembley is not just tiring physically but also mentally.
Was an appalling performance but I think there were extenuating circumstances.

Good wake up call for the cup final I think.

Now I've looked, I wouldn't bother.

Only shows what's currently live on sky sports and a snip at £9.99 for a 1 day pass!!!!

Says it is 'powered by sky' so the price is no surprise....

Yes we were crap tonight but do any of you realise that we are only 3 points worse off from last season and the rags 2 points better off.Yet we are in the cup final and if miracles do happen we could still win the league so no slit wrists from me just a ? why Bob had to fuck about with a winning formula. There is a saying that goes like this "If it ain't broke don't try and fix it"So apt for our season don't you think.

Not pretty at all and after that Wigan should have our full attention for the Cup final. They passed the ball better than us but we dug out a result thanks to a bit of brilliance.

Wasn't there an 18 point deficit at one stage?

Must admit that I folowed the game quite absently, while zapping on the breaking political news of the very bad pie that the Italian politician are cooking for today Election of the President of the Italian Republic.

I was slightly worried ahead of this game, as it's the epitome of what City is still in becoming to be able to properly manage: an ordinary game, against a wrongly perceived as a suitable opposition (because they play football like we do, but with lesser individual quality) following the psychological fatigues of two very demanding games in a short row.
I want to underline the positives of the result and a certain attitude to trying and cope with such a limit, at least from some of the leaders of the squad.

Other than that I fully endorse what underlined by DH and Zabba, re. mancini's poor decisions on the miedfield line up: Barra and Garcia are both slow in a way we all know, and Milner + Garcia would have been a much wiser choice, alse giving some needed rest to my beloved Gaz.

1. "unintelligible language"
2. "ACID QUEEN"
3. "never once fails to turn a football thread into a himseelf thread"
4. "thumbs stalker often resulting in repetitive thumb strain"
5. ignore the cunt. he's on permantent wum mission. only TIDs may know City

You'd need to make a very good psychiatrist in order to guess what next in a eight yrs long line of hatred...

In Roger Ailes/Donnie Drumpf's words: "don't know it for a fact, but many people say so..."
there must be some truth, then!
