Appalled

Postby Niall Quinns Discopants » Thu Apr 18, 2013 6:35 am

I have to moan a bit. And that moaning will have fuck all to do with team that has just made it to FA Cup final, on pretty nice run in the league and winning the game in hand, will have closed the gap to leaders to 10 points. It's all about the spoiled bastards some of the people have become.

I mean fucking hell, I'm not exactly happy about the way our Champion's League "run" turned out but that's something we need to work on in coming years. We've had our ups and downs and football hasn't been as cavaliar all the time as it was during last spring. And yes, it's a fucking shame we lost the title to rags out of all the teams in the world. But if we are lifting yet another trophy come may, I will be over the moon once again.

The way we are as a team and as a Club couldn't make me happier. Some individual results or even seasons isn't going to change that. We aren't going to win quadrable every fucking season, probably never. That's just not how it goes. Some people here sound like the worst kind of rags we used to make fun of. The kind that after season of winning another trophy moaned about not winning some Mickey Mouse world club team competition of the year. Some people really need some fucking perspective and should start to enjoy all we've witnessed in alst few years and all we've done this year.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

Mate, is that not a bit over the top? I've not seen too much whinging, just the usual match thread knee-jerk but that's what it's for.

I've missed NQDP flamboyant windups and must confirm that our talented engineer has been definitely turned into a balanced grown Parent.
Every season of life has its own features, it's just slightly sad we shan't ever enjoy that sparkling taunts that I am proud to have been target of, too.

Other than this odd. personal, note, I entirely endorse every word of the OP (even if I obviously couldn't have spelled so properly).

1. "unintelligible language"
2. "ACID QUEEN"
3. "never once fails to turn a football thread into a himseelf thread"
4. "thumbs stalker often resulting in repetitive thumb strain"
5. ignore the cunt. he's on permantent wum mission. only TIDs may know City

You'd need to make a very good psychiatrist in order to guess what next in a eight yrs long line of hatred...

Yeah, but what's the point when we've won? I can moan with the best of them just right after the game if we've lost. Or even drawn against "inferior opposition" (which itself is arrogant attitude). But I've seen the moaning after the derby win, after winning FA Cup semi and after last night. I don't understand what these people want. And why they can't be happy with win.

I mean, for me a win is a win is a win. I'm dead happy every time we win. Regardless whether it was deserved, if we played well or whatever. In fact, I sometimes enjoy wins we grind by pure effort, like last night, more than wins over teams that just roll over and die.

I hated it when we were shite because most saturday evenings I was pissed off. You know, we've won 20 league games this season which means 20 saturdays (ok, some of them were sundays or mondays or indeed wednesdays) I was happy. We've lost 4 league games and that means only 4 times this year I've been gutted. You throw all the cup competitions there and you will see that most of the time I was happy. Which means the quality of my life in general is much better. My family get a happy husband/father etc.

Now most of all I feel sorry for these people. When did they lose the focus. When they won Champion's League with City for the first time in FIFA for PS3?
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

Not sure too many people are bemoaning the fact that we've not retained the title or only reached the cup final.

I think it's mostly about how we've gone about it, myself included, I want to see committed effort and playing well. We've surrendered too often games usually against teams with the high press and look bereft of ideas in others especially without Silva or any natural width.

Someone couldn't understand why I was unhappy with last nights result. For me it's not result by any means which is biggest rag trait of all.

There are degrees of happiness. I'm delighted when we put in a good performance and win. I'm not quite as happy when we put in a poor performance and win. I'm marginally annoyed when we lose but I think we've played well and looked the better side and I'm pissed if we look like a sack if shit and lose. I'm completely fucked off when I feel the official has robbed us (eg. Dortmund at home).

And it's not arrogant to think we should be beating teams like Reading, QPR and Villa. Who doesn't look at the fixture list and do some maths based on fixtures. Sadly the league is split into 2/3 levels of ability. Yes, every dog has it's day and as champions it is some teams cup final. It is what it is.

The club has raised the expectations of the fans. 10 years ago we would be ecstatic at the thought of being in Europe, however, we have new targets and expectations now. Its only right that the fans can expect more from a team of superstars than a team of cloggers. We all want the same thing but just have a different view on it.

I moan about the fact that we haven't addressed the problem of no plan b. No pace, no width and no other means to break certain teams down.

I love where we are and what we've achieved. I'm proud when we do everything possible and still don't manage to win a game.

I hate when we lose or fail to win because of a problem that should have been fixed a long time ago.

Overall... delighted!

We had a plan b at the start of the season. Bring dzeko on. That worked well for us. We stopped doing it.

The irony of coming on here after a week like this to moan about some mysterious mass of arrogance and upset is too much for me.

2 huge wins and an underwhelming one makes a great week for me and I was thinking just yesterday how much the general mood on here had warmed up a lot.

I was ut of the contry & then I've stayed off here & will continue to, because I've got very little good to say, so I don't want to spoil other people's enjoyment of the end of season & Cup Final. I can't bite my tongue & kiss arse when I know stuff is wrong, so I'm off.

Just for the record though, the 2nd best team has walked away with the title.

It's not about winning every year, it's about competing. We didn't compete. I want our team to compete so no, I'm not happy. I'm not spoilt either, I just KNOW City are better than Utd & I recon you all know it too, but some of you are pretending not to.

we have fucking blown it BIG STYLE.

Utd have beaten the utter shite which has been put in front of them & we have lowered our standards & used their winning run as an excuse not to do the same. Any team worth it's salt would have pushed them & they would have bottled it. Unfortunately. City, Spurs, Arsenal, Chelsea are not good enough to even challenge them.

A season of proper football followed by 2nd or even 3rd place is no problem for me.

A season of vastly underachieving AND THE MANAGER IS STILL TRYING TO FUCK ABOUT WITH THE SYSTEM WHICH STARTED IT AL!!!! In the middle of a game, he makes it 10 times worse, just to try & get a performance out of that lumbering bag of fucking shite in midfield. Ends up taking him off. Oh but we coul;d have had Martinez lumbering about instead, then we would have won the Champions League. Bollocks.

Anyway I'll enjoy the cup final from a distance & perhaps the rags will spunk the title away just like we have, because they are nothing, but I doubt it unfortunately.

All the best.
