Though it will hardly be a problem considering the magnificent managerial and tactical skills of Martinez, who at the 3rd or 4th time of asking will probably have already lead his team victoriously into the Championship by dint of winning relegation. We have also to consider that Mancini's abject tactics, a 2nd choice keeper, Kompany who is a shadow of his former self partnering a kid who's bound to be overcome with the occasion, Yaya who does nowt and Barry who's too slow, Silva who has been (at best) ordinary, Aguero who can't score, Tevez who's a cunt and Dzeko who is weeeeell, he's Dzeko...and God forbid that Lescott gets a call up...Apart from that, the whole thing is worthless so no players will bother trying anyway....and did I mention Kolarov? Probably best not to eh!

...and can you picture what any victory parade will look like as it is watched by the handful on SSN and commented on by Brazil and Irani? Disgruntled City fans not bothering to turn up as a protest of their disappointment of only having the 2nd best team in the country. An empty Albert Square, save for two lone figures,a sobbing Piccsnumberoneblue, who told us weeks ago that winning the FA Cup wouldn't make up the disappointment of a cataclysmic season, being consoled by Ant (Somewhere In The World), complete with Marwood mask, waving a letter of apology and support from Doomie for his non attendance.

Should we win and should the club decide to hold a parade, the team should be taken across Town on the tram, having paid for their own tickets. The tram could be sponsored by Samaritans or The Citizens' Advice Bureau and it should reverse it's wayfrom Victoria Station to Manchester Central in a symbolic gesture of how we have gone backwards this season. The players should be suitably dressed in sky blue hair shirts, with the word "SORRY" emblazoned across the front.

Additional evening entertainment could be the public ridiculing of Mancini on the Town Hall steps by laughing clowns dressed in Everton and Southampton shirts, prior to his flogging, hanging, drawing and quartering. This could all be done to a background of City's more recent relegation games shown on a big screen with a voice over from Taggart himself.

The genius that I am....fuck me!...I amaze myself.

So do we parade it or not?

Only in the format set out above plus the added evening entertainment....:-)
We couldn't let Piccs or Ant (+ Doomie) losse such a great opportunity...:-)

Not sure if this is the right place but it is a similar subject.

Last night I was working in Town and bore the brunt of all the rag celebrations...it was......:

A cavalcade of CAR...flag waving and horn sounding at the traffic lights on Deansgate.
This was topped by a larger cavalcade of TWO cars doing similar on Portland Street.
A massive group of around 5 or six foreign rags singing outside the Renaissance Hotel.
3 or 4 smiling rags at the cash point on Princess Street.

...and so the paaaarrrrtying went on into the night.....
5 rags bought a couple of cans each and got a cab home. One of them even had a pizza....

But that is not all......
A group of around 20 or so actually went to a Karaoke Club in China Town.
....and finally....a lonesome Irishman asked for directions to Long Legs Strip Club....
Oh! I nearly forgot....there was one rag celebrating by having a cig at the bottom of the Britannia Hotel steps.

Perhaps the happiest of all were the 2 fans I had in my cab to the Malmaison....well pissed and buzzing their bollox off. Turned out one supported WestBrom, the other Leicester and they'd had a corporate do at the swamp and free booze all night....and like me, they didn't give a fuck about the result.

Those paaaaarrrrtttteeee people rags certainly know how to celebrate.

City WILL win the Cup. Yes I said "assuming" they do in my OP, but they bloody well win it. The last time I saw Wigan at Wembley Billy Boston was playing and it could be that kind of score again. But no to a parade, it'd be embarrassing cheering Mancini on the town hall steps if he's getting sacked three weeks later. So I think John should put him & the Cup with a couple of the team in his taxi and drive them round Rusholme to wave at folk for a bit, then leave it at that.

They are having theirs on the 13th. Works out quite nicely. I'm off that week so no need to go anywhere near the city centre.

Their timing is perfect....wouldn't this have been the date for our parade when we win on the 11th ?

Exactly my thoughts. It doesn't make sense. Surely they would either have it this Monday or when the season ends. The 13th makes no sense other than to try to jump back in the limelight if we win the cup. We play the night after so we can't do it tues. My personal opinion it's a snidey trick to take the shine of FA cup. Same as Ferdinands snide comments about winning it the proper way not on goal difference. . If we do win the cup I really hope the club choose a good day and put a mega party on.

It's ever since you started wearing that discovery Channel Hat of yours in public Michael. I thought you'd be getting enough grief from the good people of Royton...I was being nice to you....BTW, when you're wearing it, do you still walk round with a salmon in your mouth like they do in the documentaries?

Beefers,
I do think it's sad when people you like reach their stage of dementia. I hope Piccs, Ant, Doomie...and yes...you as well Gillie! All get a bed in the same institution. Make it easier to visit in one go. I'm fucked if I'm going all the way to Florida just to bedsit the Septic.

On Topic....Who gives a fuck when the rags have their parade...nobody will turn up, like last time. As their bus travels down Deansgate, people will be trying to get on it thinking it's the 128 (?) to Altrincham.
