Zero consistency from the FA yet again. Is racism not a far worse crime than biting someone?? Suarez is in the same mode as Mario and Barton, they get the book thrown at them, Stuart Downing does the same thing, he gets three games. Didn’t Defoe do the same thing and get booked?? Its needs to be the same set of rules for everyone.

What did downing do?

Nothing I was using a none high profile bit shit player as an example. If Mario bit someone what do you think the outcome would have been, beheading, hanging, firing squad?? They can't have one set of rules for certain players and a set for the high profile loons.

But sadly they do have different sets of rules. Also sadly the FA's judgement will already have been influenced by the massive media attention that followed the incident.Personally I have no problem with the ban.Partly because it's an awful incident but also because the guy has previous with more than one other incident in his short career in England.

BUT what disappoints me is how some will get off with violent conduct which is actually more dangerous than this because as SoF says they are not as high profile.Or at least the media have decided that they are not as high profile at the time.

Was there not an incident earlier this season where an England international ( maybe an ex one) was seen deliberately kicking someone, or did he just stud the back of his leg, and it hardly got a mention.A few years ago another england player ran across a Wigan player and forearm smashed him but hardly anything was said. Is it the press/media who make or at least massively influence decisions or do the FA just do it on the merit of the case.

Oh I see - thought I'd missed something there. However, that's a very good point that you raise. After the Suarez incident last Sunday, Defoe's bite on Mascherano in 2006 was brought to my attention. I had completely forgotten about that because at the time it drew nowhere near the amount of press coverage or criticism that Suarez's bite did. It seems that there are certain players i.e. Balotelli, Suarez etc who the media love to vilify and others who (perhaps because they are English, or don't have a bad reputation) who get away with a lot more. The level of hypocrisy surrounding these incidents is amazing

I agree, we should revisit his racism ban and increase it.

I fucking love this, the scousers on RAWK are going into meltdown comparing the incident to every previous incident that got less games. But this only got X so we should appeal.

NO.

Suarez got 10 games because he is a cunt, because he has form and because he does not seem to fucking understand that you don't do this shit, so maybe 10 games will wake him the fuck up and actually get his attention far more than a slap on the wrist and a 3 match ban would ever do.

Difference between City and Liverpool fans, every single one of us was ready to accept Sergio getting a ban and we ALL knew we were fucking lucky to get away with that. Liverpool fans would have seen Suarez being let off as justice and finally them not being singled out and tortured by the FA.

You're totally right mate. How anybody would see this individual as a footballer first is absolutely unbelievable. He is the worst of the worst and if he came to City I really would have to look inside and wonder if I really should be supporting football.

The horrible fucker really does wind me up that much.

You can't get any sense out of Liverpool fans these days. Not sure when it started, maybe when they stopped winning everything, but they are bitter as fuck and think the world is against them.
It's seems to be beyond them that he's a cunt who needs to grow up, then again these are the same fans that defended potential racism without actually knowing any of the facts.

Great post. Agree with every word. This fucker could open his bowels in the middle of the pitch and that club would back him all the way ("Well no-one was seriously injured/they do this sort of thing in Uruguay....")

Just out of interest, how would people feel if it was Sergio who had bitten a Spurs player last Sunday?

it would've been the fault of the Spurs player for getting his tasty little arm in the way of Sergio's mouth, of course.

Good to see that he is such a reformed character as many kept insisting. At least this rules out us signing him so that is good news.

He HAD showed signs of modifying his behaviour since the Evra incident - he clearly has problems though.

We're generally a realistic bunch. Thatcher never got many defending him. The irritating thing about that is all the bullshit about 'if the ref sees the incident, then there can't be a review', well there can, and his was the first exception I can recall to that shit nugget of a rule. It's yet another ridiculous rule from the FA and they need to get rid of it. It's hardly as if refs are infallible, right?

Adebayor wasn't defended for his stamp on van pussy either. Sergio was the most recent and we all just shrugged and said, 'well that's the last we'll see if him this season'. Of course, if it was Sergio that Suarez had bitten, then who could have blamed him? If we could get near enough, we'd all have a nibble of the gorgeous little man ;-)

If he'd gotten done for the stamp, we'd have worn it. Wore it a number of times in regards to Mario, as mentioned in regards to Thatcher and Barton as well and moaned like women when Kompany got done for the non-red card against the filth. So I'd say we are pretty grounded but not completely unbiased.

I know I look at every tackle that was similar to Kompany's and wonder why the player is still on the pitch.
