Lescott is a big boy, if he wants to know where he stands he can knock on the manager's door.

He gets my vote today, handled Carroll well and showed great composure on the ball when required.

can't agree , Carroll always looked dangerous and with a little more good fortune could have turned his chances into goals . For me Lescott did not have him under control.

He always looked dangerous because we were too slack in cutting out the supply from out wide in my opinion. Lescott had to be at his best to keep him out and was.

With Tevez, Aguero, Dzeko, Ballotelli (half a season), Silva and Nasri, I don't think anyone would judge Yaya's contribution based on his goals. He's not been playing that role this year, so for me it's a tiny factor when considering his contribution.

Nasri impressed very much not only on playmaking but on his focus to track back.
Tbf with the little soft french, I think that only injuries on very unfortunate moments prevented him to show a very consistent second half of the season. Hope rumors of his departures ain't real, as it'll be disappointing to lose him now that he's starting to pay belated dividends.

Zabba would have deserved better luck on that goalscoring opportunity and would have been a deserved icing on the cake of another cult performance.

The Klingon has had a very good game but over 20 votes are just because too many cunts are willing to take the piss on Carl, me think.

Off topic: Fat Sam is the troll of football.

1. "unintelligible language"
2. "ACID QUEEN"
3. "never once fails to turn a football thread into a himseelf thread"
4. "thumbs stalker often resulting in repetitive thumb strain"
5. ignore the cunt. he's on permantent wum mission. only TIDs may know City

You'd need to make a very good psychiatrist in order to guess what next in a eight yrs long line of hatred...

In Roger Ailes/Donnie Drumpf's words: "don't know it for a fact, but many people say so..."
there must be some truth, then!

Exactly. Lescott was superb. Carroll can cause real problems and Lescott dealt with them very well. Carroll was only to get a couple of chances off at the end when Lescott wasn't marking him.

I'm a big Lescott fan and would hope he gets to continue his run in the side as he is better than Nastasic in my opinion. Although, I imagine we'll Nastasic back next week.

Nasri has done exceptionally well over the last 3 to 4 games, but has he done enough to see him stick around next season?!

Tevez was again one of the best but I give voice to Kilngon. Barry after 60 minutes is different player, and I can not believe that somebody saw Aguero as MOTM, hes score this season every 10 clean chance. Nasri good also a bit more brave and different player.

That's what I wonder. Maybe he'll become Mancini's new 'pet project' since Balotelli's departure...

I voted Zabba. If he isn't our player of the season, it'll be a travesty.

I must have been imagining the numerous stupid little flicks and back heels Nasri did yesterday then? He gave the ball away more than a young Edin Dzeko.

Yeah but Kolarov was good.

There were a couple, but it wasn't all that bad. It was a good job he had a fairly good game, as after silva got booted off the park in the first 25 mins, he went a bit quiet.

There was the run in the opening minute, the shot that stung the keeper for the Zabba chance, the numerous break always he was involved in (yes, we are bit shit on the counter) and then the run to get there for the cross so that he could miss a sitter (at least he was there to miss it....!)

He's not my favourite, but like I said, when Silva is quiet we needed him to step up and I think he is doing now. This must be the reason we bought him, to help silva out?

He didn't even make an attempt to get the ball though mate, that's what pisses me off about the little shit. It's not like he had to stretch for it. It literally ran across his foot.

I just hate the guy and hope he's sold in the summer.

Never ;-)

Fair enough, we have one of those players that simply grates at us regardless.

I personally thought that they were evenly matched and that, on points, Lescott won the fight. He snuffed out our earliest effort and it left a tinge of authority on Carroll for much of the remainder of that half (when we were weak in an attacking sense).

Second half, Carroll had two chances and I would say that he worked hard enough to deserve at least one.

Lescott was your best player, but few if any of them got out of third gear really.

Hea good for comedy value but maybe we should keep him, we only have one left back and if he gets injured then what? Although maybe we should sell and buy someone who can defend. Kolarovs free kicks have been shut for awhile to.
