Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!
by Blueboylewis » Thu Dec 03, 2009 11:29 pm
So it has arrived! Tommorow night, I will briefly like many others be switching to the world cup live draw starting at 5-00pm (uk time) and see who England's rivals are.
We have missed out on the big guns anyway! Here are the pots and the teams who we could still end up getting drawed against.
Here is pot 1 and all the teams that we have missed out on-
South Africa
Brazil
Spain
Holland
Italy
Germany
Argentina
ENGLAND
Here is pot two and from this pot i wouldent mind playing anyone in this group!-
Japan
South Korea
North Korea
Australia
New Zealand
USA
Mexico
Honduras
pot 3 consists of easy teams again with the exception of the ivory coast and Paraguay who could end up being hard competitors!-
Ivory Coast
Ghana
Cameroon
Nigeria
Algeria
Paraguay
Chile
Uruguay
And finally pot 4 which is full of some big names and some big names who i would like to avoid in the group stages!!
France
Portugal
Slovenia
Switzerland
Greece
Serbia
Denmark
Slovakia
Obviously we are all not England fans on here so who would you like your national side to be drawn against?

Hilarious!
I'm sure all the English are gutted they missed out on Brazil and Spain.
So I see they switched France back with Holland.
I thought I heard something about this issue during the week but I werent aware they did put Holland in pot A. Good, because thats the way it should be.

This draw takes an age, literally. I will check it out about an hour later as the heated balls will probably ready by then.

one's I'd prefer to avoid
Group 2
USA
Mexico
Australia
Group 3
The African teams.
Group 4
Portugal
Serbia
Best Case (IMO)
England
North Korea
Chile
Switzerland
Worst
England
Australia
Ivory Coast
Portugal
Australia have been a bogey team for a while, although I still think we'd easy qualify from any group

I of course am an Italy fan, and I hope we can avoid FRance and Portugal most of all. It woulodn't be bad to avoid Ghana and Ivory Coast too.
A group of:
Italy
Japan/New Zealand
Algeria
Slovakia
wouldn't be bad, would it? lol
The worst would be, imho:
Italy
USA/Mexico
Ghana/Ivory Coast
France/Portugal

You can get 250-1 on England drawing New Zealand, Algeria & Switzerland. That would be a quality group.

Couldn't care less tbh. When we get the proper season over I'll look at the telly in SA and see who we've got to play. The Tele has the first SEVEN pages of it's sport supplement talking about this hyped-up-Beckam shite. Waste of space.

As long as we don't draw France/Portugal from pot 4 we'll get through.

When does the actual draw start? They usually have about 7 hours of so-called entertainment first don't they? Wouldn't mind seeing Charlize Theron strip or something like that though tbh

Drawing France wouldn't be so bad. Domenech is gash and the world is against them. I expect them to not progress from their group.

I'm not getting too excited at the mo like some others are in our office today. For me its all about City until May, then I will start to think about England getting to yet another quarter final and losing on penalties.

i hope we get them, and give them a proper hammering.
as an aside, in the two practice draws yesterday England were drawn with Oz both times.

I swear i saw the other day the
draw was at 17:45???
Bastard Fifa, inconsiderate knobs 17:00 programme starts just when the majority of us are about to leave work!!!!! On a good day i can make the pub from the office in around 13 minutes (9 miles) so 17:45 would be perfect. Phone my order in for a pint to be sat on the bar for me :-)

Frank Lampard seems to be one of many people on a free expenses-paid junket to SA. Is he supposed to be playing us tomorrow?
