Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Football is at the dogs, and wembley needs real blues that will support the team. Not corporate/non fans and 'new' plastics that will sit in silence, the kind of fans that were telling me to sit down and stop singing in the semi...... What a joke going to City has become.

However Im a bit sick of plastic fans. I'm no superfan, but when I go to a game I like to support the team and not pretend im in the cinema. Luckily away games are largely the opposite of this, as the plastics stay at home.
Young dinosaur at 24 by the way ;)
I get a bit bored of busy giddy whoppers who spend the half the match bibbling on about how everyone else is doing it wrong whilst looking around them to see who's listening. Go to the game, watch the game, do what you want, but leave everyone else be. "It wasn't like this at York City away... when I was 9...".
All we are saying is give Doug a pass.

This is probably just the least shit way of doing it.
I can't understand why any neutral would want to go to watch the final. The tickets should be split 50/50 between supporters of the two finalists. After all isn't that who the final is for?
Really?
The pair of tickets are a big source of revenue for smaller clubs. They often organise social nights with the main draw (as well as some minor name after-dinner speaker) being a raffle with the tickets on offer as the main prize.
If the final was between Chelsea and Wigan would you go?
If the final was between Chelsea and Wigan, and I dedicated my spare time voluntarily to the game as a referee and viewed football primarily through the eyes of an objective neutral, and not as a fan of a particular club, then yes, I believe I would.
Where did I mention referees? I meant you as a City fan

Sorry, I thought you mentioned something about not being able to understand why any neutral would want to go. My bad.

If i went to a club fundraiser, for example Bury, and took part in a raffle and won, yes, I would go. I'm a football fan at the end of the day.
I'm never going to actively seek out tickets for that game, and i'm never going to get to watch my own club there, so I would take the opportunity to go and have a day out with my dad and experience a cup final.

Been happening for as long as the cups been running Freshie. Its just a thank you gesture to the people who keep football running at grass roots level. I actually quite like the tradition myself. A lot do sell or pass their tickets on.

I will probably be the only avid blue in Club Wembley. I'm not exactly a passion-less fan, and have to stand with aload of southern JP Morgan bankers.
And to the post above, I can't really do what I want mate as at the last semi people were telling me to sit down, which spoilt my experience. When id shelled out a fortune and got up at the crack of dawn, I would like to maximise my match experience instead of pretending I was at a funeral service! I've not had chance to get to Wembley too many times...

Well you will not be the only one. I have my ticket based on the purchase through my seasoncard and have just got hold of 4 tickets together in Club Wembley so I can take some mates that were struggling to make it - hopefully it will not be 'too' stuffy.

Was in there for the semi so I could watch with our kid and it was alright people were still getting involved with chanting and cheering. Only problem for us was we were in the east side so mostly Chelsea but no one minded our two man poznan and was dead easy to get a pint at half time

I was one of those telling people to sit down since my sister who is 4'11 couldn't see any of the action despite standing up

Never criticise a man until you've walked a mile in his shoes.
That way when you do criticise him you'll be a mile away.
And you'll have his shoes.
