Who had millions at his disposal at Blackburn and Liverpool.

I do not want to come across as a kill joy but as long as I have posted on this board I have been hearing about United's demise.

They were shitting it apparently when Frank took over. They won the league and EC the same year.

They were shitting it when the Sheik came into town. They have won the league three years out of five.

They were shitting it when we won the league. They trounced us the next year.

I will dance on United grave once they have dropped to the level or Liverpool or Arsenal. Until then, I will always just assume they are going to be the club to beat.

A lot has been made about his lack of European experience. Our current manager had lots before he arrived and look how well that has served him on Champions League nights.

Apart from the times he took Preston to Wembley and twice with Everton.

He got Everton into Europe three times.

Apart from that you post is 100% spot on.

Ah come on matey.. Frank was the false prophet admitedly.. but we still beat them at the swamp for the first time in years. Then Sheik came to town.. and they have every right to be scared. Our club is still being built and the future is going to be amazing theyre standing still. We embarassed them 6-1 at their ground aswell.. course theyre afraid! And they didnt trounce us this year.. Mackintoss was inept and we wont let that happen again. To top it all off.... theyve got Moyse as their new manager. Exciting times.

Being the pessemist fucker I am I think i'm gonna hold off my celebrations just yet.
On paper this is great, they're losing one of the most successful managers ever. Yes he was a c*nt but he sure aswell knew how to get the best out of his players. In that respect I'm happy.

However, Moyes has always had one over Mancini. He's never won anything but he has had (comparatively) very little money to work with, it will be interesting to see how he does when money isn't so much of an issue.

It can only make them weaker but I don't think they'll suddenly self combust as some may be hoping.

Whatever the speculation is over how they will do, who they will buy or sell, there surely can be no doubt that at this moment, that they are at their weakest for twenty or more years. And we should do everything within our power to capitalize on this as a club, to establish ourselves, in a competitive way.
I would hope that we have an aggressive summer transfer strategy, put all the speculation about Mancini to bed, move on and upwards.
Next season will be massive. we won't get all the credit if and when we win the league, as some of this will be reflected into Moyes failures and their instability.
However, God forbid, should they finish above us, we will never ever hear the last of it, so next year is a 'must win' for many reasons, and don't forget Chelsea will have something to say...The three M's in charge...

See I think money is an issue for them. The glaziers hate spending and Moyes is used to doing things on a budget. Also.. Bacon was hoping to spend this summer.. things changed quickly didnt they ;)

He's had hardly any money to work with? Neither have Swansea. They won a trophy though this year. Neither have Wigan, but they're in the FA Cup final. Some muppets on here!

So what? they finished higher up in the league than either.
He's had very little money to work with. Who knows how he will do when he has money.
They'll probably sign Fellaini which will massively bolster their midfield.

Weakest for 20 years and they won the league with 4 games to spare.

Mancini is an all-seeing genius. He got the all important FA Cup win in his 1st full season. Then he wins the league in his second season.

Now for the real trick. In his third season he purposefully let the rags walk the league, knowing that it will motivate whiskeynose to retire, significantly weakening the rags. He also purposefully develops a horrible record against the man next in line to lead the rags in order to get the gollum in place (knowing all too well exactly how to beat gollum this whole time). Now they are in prime position to be killed off. You may doubt him, but the Italian is thinking 5 steps ahead. It's some Machiavelli shit right there. Forza Mancini!

For the third time he's had very little money. Look at it another way, would Mancini have done any better with their squad and no money? Probably not.

We wouldn't have won anything had it not been for money so we can't say that it's not a valid excuse.

Wasn't someone on here who, a few months ago said something like "for God's sake let them win it then old purple nose will retire and we'll be rid of him"?
"You sir, will either be hung as a traitor or die of the pox"
"That sir, depends on whether I embrace your principles or your mistress"

You ignore that some managers work well under no-budget and deflated expectations. When you give them a blank check, you also take away any possible excuse and force them to make big decisions. He has no experience with this type of situation and is likely to shrivel up.

Who would people like Cavani, Falcao, and Isco rather play for; Roberto Mancini or fucking David Moyes

I agree.
He may well flop now he has money or he may take to it like a duck to water. We don't know yet. Huges was a great example of the former, so to Sam Allardyce.

Players will still want to play for Man United, whoever the manager is, just as players now will want to play for Madrid, Barca, Bayern , even us.

I hope he shrivels up and they flop obviously but i'm waiting to see how this one pans out.

Would players still aspire to play for Barcelona with David fucking Moyes as their manager??? If not, then why should they aspire to play for the rags? The whole appeal is that you get guidance from one of the best managers of all time. Now what do you get? A manager with 8 years experience at Everton, a large but silent stadium, and a million fans in Singapore.

Players will play for whoever pays the most.

Falcao is off to Monaco. Is it because he thinks they have a great coach or that they are delivering a truck load of money to his house?
