Hart to start

Postby GingeryBlue » Fri May 10, 2013 11:56 am

I have it on good authority (without claiming to be an ITK) that Joe will start tomorrow.

one good authority (Bobby) is quoted as saying:

"I don't think so, we decided this at the start of the season. Pantilimon deserves to play.

"Joe won the FA Cup two years ago, he won the Premier League last year, he is the best keeper in England and I think he should be happy his second keeper can play in a big game.

"I know he wants to play but we decided at the start of the season it was important for Pantilimon to play in the two cups."

so unless he's believed all the press talk about Panty being ready to walk...
Never criticise a man until you've walked a mile in his shoes.
That way when you do criticise him you'll be a mile away.
And you'll have his shoes.

not necessarily. Panty may have spoiled it for himself if he's not returned the favour by committing his future.
As you haven't quoted sources, I was just making sure you know what's already in the public domain

I'm pretty sure GingeryBlue had some decent informantion about Joe Hart when Given signed for us about him wanting to go and get first team football.

Panti might have shot himself in the foot with his comments about wanting out.

Don't know the ins and outs but he has been told he's starting. I can only assume Panty has made it clear to Mancini he wants to leave and he's thought there's no point showing loyalty to him if he's off, our best chance to win the thing is if Hart starts.

Alex appreciate the heads up, I did see that and as I say may have been part of the reason for the change of stance from Mancini.

Good for him he still should have kept his mouth shut,i dont like players angling for moves during the season unless they are called Aleks.

Were his quotes recent about wanting to leave or is it something that was rehashed from earlier in the season when he lost his national team slot? If he did indeed say them over the past couple of days, he really is just an idiot and deserves to lose his spot. How hard would it to have been to wait 2 more weeks until the season was over.

If they are recent, as much as I have been suppoting Costel to play the final, he no longer deserves it.

I honestly don't mind who plays in goal tomorrow, I trust them both.
