Yesterday was another Wimbledon winning moment. Hurts like hell to be on the wrong end, but shows everything that is right about football, English football in particular.

The magic of the cup is still alive and well and for that I am glad. Shit to be on the end of the result but we got what we deserved. I hope that this is the sting that really hurts the players and gives them a rocket up the arse to kick on next season.

We put out our strongest available side and we played a decent game - we were beaten because Wigan played better than we did over the 90 minutes and it was a much deserved result that they can be truly proud of.

Respect also to the City fans who stayed to applaud the winners (rather than stream out at 10 minutes to go with tails between legs as the rags do when they come unstuck).
If we had De Gea and the rags had Hart, we'd be top with a 9 point lead and they'd be in 12th place - that's the difference between a 'good' keeper and a 'top class' keeper - 12 places - think about it.

This isn't an apology, or an adverse reaction to what you're saying, but I swear I would have stayed and applauded the Piefaces lifting The Cup if it hadn't been so pissing late. I got straight out, over to the station, and had to queue for an age before getting the train back to Breaconsfield and Sgt. Dazzler's Honda, taxiing on the runway. He'd been there half an hour when I got there. It really hit home what a stupid kick off time it was.
