He wouldn't, he retweeted what someone else put. However, the someone else wasn't a City employee. That's the bit that teenagers don't get and something City should be training them on

Exactly. I doubt the club has targeted to won the league each year. If the board has that as a target, we are indeed not run by professionals.

Anyway as of today Gattuso is available for the management job. He's won as many PL titles as Pellegrini

Interesting one for you conspiracy theorists

A mate if mine reckons Mancini has agreed a deal with Monaco and is trying to get sacked on purpose hence the rants about the board and the PR team

Given how close he was to leaving us after winning the league this would not surprise me one bit. People talk about it is unfair to Mancini to make him suffer all this uncertainty. All he has to do is sit through a few press conferences and post match interviews to ensure he gets a lovely big pay off.

City board: We want you to resign, we have a new manager coming in.
Bob: No thanks.
City board: Ok, hang in for two more weeks and we will have to chuck a few million your way.
Bob: No worries, see you in two weeks.

pretty sure that taking the team forward and getting the best out of the players rank highly on our owners list of expectations...

he's failed on both counts this year

Reading between the many written lines, if he does go I don't think he would be fired for missing targets. I think he is going because he has pissed off too many of the players with bad man management. He only has a "my way or the highway" approach. Most managers know who to scream at and who to put an arm around.

His comments about Richards on his first game back are a classic example.

And if he's lost the dressing room, he should be fired. I don't support firing the manager in many circumstances but a breakdown between players and manager is one of them. Unless the split is easily fixed.

All ifs and buts though.

That guy is proper rag. Not some "I went there when I was 29, won few titles and I'm massive Man U fan now" but proper born and bred united cunt. There are other things as well but that should cover most of it.

The guy is a utter prick. I hated him before he joined City and can barely tolerate him now he is part of our coaching staff. He was leaking stories to all his buddies in the press the minute he walked in the door.

Only this.
I reckon he still is.

Trust me on this one, Any information written by Neil Ashton when he was covering City for the NOTW was true and came directly from Platt.

If and when he goes expect lots of anti city behind the scenes gossip coming out about us and that prick will be the source.

..and there you have it. It's well known that Platt has a few rag top mates and at the end of the day his allegiances lie with Mancini not City.

Quite clever really, for whatever reason it's not going to work out and Mancini doesn't want to be here anymore. Leak a story which allows Mancini to spout off how no one will ever win 6-1 at old trafford, how he'll be a City fan after he's gone, why aren't the club backing him blah blah blah..makes him look the good guy and distracts everyone from his deficiences. He won't resign because he wants his pay out and the club cant say anything because they're probably looking at all the legal stuff too..it's just sad really.

Frankly they are in a bad position. They gave a man a job 3 years ago, he did well, but did not meet THEIR expectations. It is a business, and they feel their business is not moving in right direction. Unfortunatley the press has forced the issue and sometimes silence says more than enough.

As for you last comment, I find it very negative and non-supporting of the club you claim to love. But I suspect WHEN we win the league again, you will need to be reminded of this useless post.

he has met THEIR expectations and ahead of schedule.

Well, I am not so sure. Playing Devil's Advocate and trying to see ownership's position, maybe he raised the bar by being ahead of schedule. I am not trivializing the value of what he did, what I am questioning is what has happened over the last 12 months to the day.

1. Will finish a distant second place in the league - any where from 8 to a record-tying 15 points behind. That is a regression considering how poorly United play, but doing just enough to win and not having the same number of howlers that resulted in draws or better yet Southampton (not to mention the 2 points Liverpool gifted us in the dying minutes of both those matches)

2. The players look disinterested and unmotivated. Once or twice a season I get it, but it was a lot more than that. They clearly have zero respect for him.

3. Wigan was the icing on the cake. That match had all the makings of why Mancini is probably not the best person to take us to that next level.. bad tactics, shocking substitutions, alienating players (Costel in this example, but not the first)

Think of it this way, being in the first division, getting a very good player that helps you get promoted, but once promoted he is no longer good enough to get you to the next level - a top team. Mancini got us past the first hurdle and won us trophies, but he doesn't seem likely to make us a Champions League finalist or a consistent winner.

His name is Mancini not Machiavelli. If you think he is incompetent to run a team, how would he ever mastermind and pull something like this off? Conspiracy theorists love to yell how incompetent the man is, yet consistently underestimate the competence needed for someone to be behind these backroom plots.

Theres only 2 managers available who have won the Premier league and have a winning percentage over 50%. One is Mancini and the other is Mourinho. We know where the Special one is going.

If we look at the rags 1994/95 Season where they smashed the transfer record on Andy Cole we see a surprising similarity yet no one called for taggarts head;

FA Premier League 2nd
FA Cup Runners-up
League Cup Third round
Charity Shield Winners
UEFA Champions League Group stage

This was his 8th season as manager, four years later he won the Champions League. Ferguson retires with a winning % of 59.71. Mancinis? %59.21

Losing him will be a huge mistake.

Manchester City is OUR club. And the vast majority of Supporters who didnt just blow in a few years ago want him to stay. The same group who have seen 19 managers come and go over taggarts reign recognize his talents. In the 90s we had ABU, now we have ABC's and to a certain extent we have ABM on this board.

Fucking Disgusting.

Thanks for that. Is Mancini blameless in all of this? The players don't like him and are somewhat stifled in there play, staff don't like him, he makes strange decisions, he's unwilling to change, he goes back on his word. What are his talents?

And by the way, i first started watching City in 1979 so don't give me the 'supporters that blew in a few years ago' bit..it's a different City now and it's about moving forward.
