After speaking to a few Blues who went it becomes clear that there was atmosphere growing, well before we got underway. From where I was, it was the same which meant that us fans weren't totally focussed on the game in hand.
What's surprising is that the club couldn't, or wouldn't, even bring out a basic statement to the effect 'Manchester City Football Club are fully behind Roberto Mancini and the players going into the FA Cup Final'. Nothing more needed to be said as it would all have been about the game, not the managers position going forward.
And the players, what would've been going on in their heads? They needed to remain 100% focussed yet they were allowed to go into the game not knowing what the hell was going on.
PS. It's not Vicky Kloss' responsibility to set policy, it's the people above her that make those decisions.
Are you for real Beefy ??? with that mindset Man City should have said Mancini will be sacked next week,,,,but carry on !!!
Dont be daft , we lost the match because the players dont want to play for our manager......why cant you and the other Mancini fans understand this?
Lets see the real truth about what has gone on when our owners decide to tell it to all and sundry...till then we keep supporting our club not the fucking manager.
I'm not supporting the manager here and even though I debate the points (dependant on the argument) I'm not really the biggest Mancini fan. I do however, respect him for what he has done but again, this does not reflect my opinion. The opinion here is the way this has been handled and possibly while you were getting giddy that Mancini was going, I was more worrying about the game itself.
So, to further the debate, do you think that this has been dealt with appropriately?
Just for furtherance, I'm looking at many different sites and outlets (listening to the radio also) and I've not come across many who have said this has been handled correctly. In fact, there are a few who are going as far as to say it has been disgraceful.
As for the players, they may not have wanted to play for Mancini but at least the fuckers could have played for us. Don't you think?
I come from a world whereby everyone knows the GM is going but the GM so I dont see whats different here with Mancinis position.
Like I have said , there is a reason why the Club has said nothing , there is more to this than just an end of season sacking.
Mate, I've heard all the rumours - it'll all come out in the wash, blah, blah, blah. If this was the case then Mancini would definately not be here, he'd have been sacked a long time ago as our owners would not see that has respectable behaviour, and to be fair, I don't see too much in what was said with regard to the owners, except that which the media wanted to embellish.
What you allude to, from my point of view, is a washover story that shouldn't even be contemplated. Bringing things to the fore like this, regardless of strength, should be kept behind closed doors and if anything does come out in an effort to disgrace Mancini in some way, then I'm not sure how I could look at our club and think it is the club I've supported for the last 35 (ish) years.
However, I'm fairly certain this won't happen apart from the stories in the media, profligated by those who believe themselves to have the ear of the good Sheikh. Whereas, in reality, they are the same as the rest. People who hear and read into things, sometimes coming up with a reasonably believeably version of events.
That's why I ask the question, Pelligrini, really?
